Chapter 4

Olivia’s POV

“Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me
But bear this in mind, it was meant to be
And I'm joining up the dots, with the freckles on your cheeks
And it all makes sense to me”

Zayn’s solo.

I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile
You've never loved your stomach or your thighs
The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine
But I’ll love them endlessly”

Liam’s solo. I traced my fingers over Ed Sheeran’s writing as I sat with Josh in our living room.

“Dimples in your back?” I scrunched up my nose a bit as I reread Liam’s solo. “It that even possible?”

“Don’t question the magical and perfect songwriting of Ed Sheeran.” My best friend Rosie mouthed to me. Rosie was another one of the few people that had patience with me. I was actually beginning to teach her sign language too. She asked to know all the bad words so she could curse out her brother and he wouldn’t know a thing that she was saying, but I told her no, laughing at her reason why. Ahh, Rosie sounded like such a sweet name. She wasn’t the sweetest girl at times. She had her bad side, but I loved her to death. She was outgoing and more confident unlike me. I wondered how we were friends sometimes.

“Whatever.” I quickly made the motion in the air to her and looked back at the lyrics.

I won't let these little things

Slip out of my mouth

But if i do

It's you

Oh it's you

They add up to

I'm in love with you

And all these little things”

I was sniffing at the sweet and sentimental words.

“You cant go to bed

Without a cup of tea

And maybe that's the reason

That you talk in your sleep

And all those conversation

Are the secrets that I keep

Though it makes no sense to me”

“I know you've never loved the sound of your voice tape

You know want to know how much weigh

You still have to squeeze into your jeans

But you're perfect to me”

Before I knew it, a few tears were rolling down my cheeks. Rosie was in stitches, laughing so hard at me. I told her to shut up and pushed her off the couch. She continued to laugh, even through all the pain.
