I screamed at myself for the millionth time since she walked in. Why did she have to be here? What does she want in a pet shop? If she tried to look after anything it would sprint away faster than she can run!

Despite this verbal abuse i constantly throw around, the thoughts come back and i feel my face fill with colour, yet again. Why is it so hot? Autumn just started, it should be frosty and crisp and-

"Oh! Yes, you were saying?" I tried to bring myself back to earth and realised she was staring at me. Right at me with those mysterious, deep, fuscia eyes... Just a little closer, and- No!

For gosh sake Fluttershy GET A GRIP!

I look down to the wooden floorboards. They look so pretty! A perfect choice for this time of year. Yes! Maybe i should buy a few more mats for the doorway though, and-

Suddenly her lips begin to move and I snap back into the real world with real feelings where one cannot stay distracted by the floor forever. She says something about pets.

"The pets...?" I enquire. I'm not sure what's going on but i'll bet she wants to help again. I can't say i'm pleased for the animals. She certainly needs training in being caring and considerate... My mind goes into overdrive again and i start to think about all of the possibilities for her being here. Some part of me is trying to tell the other parts that maybe, just maybe, she came because... Because she wanted to see me? This put a smirk on my face and made me a little more confident. Though, this couldn't be true... Why would anyone want to spend time with me? I'm so boring and-

UGGHH CONCENTRATE YOU IDIOT!

"Oh! Sure! Here. You can start with sweeping the floor. Here's a broomstick. If you could just make sure the doorway is clear so that people can walk in without tripping or falling in mud, aha." I stop because, unsurprisingly, she doesn't seem to be concentrating... I take this moment to look at her properly. Locks of her messy boy-style hair fall all around her beautiful eyes, just waiting to be brushed. I long to style it, but she always says it would make her feel like one of my animals. My eyes drop to her big sky-blue hoodie. It looks so warm and cosy, I could just-

"Rainbow? Did you hear? If you'd really like something to do you could start by sweeping all the leaves out the doorway. It gets so dirty in here in autumn... People being disrespectful and just walking in with their huge muddy boots and dogs that haven't been washed in days! Oh, i'd just love to take care of some of the poor neglected pets that walk in here... It pains me when peope like that come in to buy more pets! Then again i'm probably over-reacting as usual... But an animal's safety really is the most important issue in here... Oh!"

I am suddenly stopped by two rough hands grabbing the sides of my face and Rainbow's lips are forced against mine. My shoulders drop and my head seems to clear of any worry i've ever had. I sigh and lovingly wrap my arms around her neck. Lastly i close my eyes as she whispers "Fluttershy why do you have to be so cute? Why did you make me go and kiss you? Stupid..."

I giggle and kiss her again. I can't concentrate on anything but the fact that this moment is real. It's really happening, not just in my head! I'm so happy, all of a sudden i have forgiven her for every horrible thing she has accidently done to traumatize my animals.
