My head hurt like a B!tch. But some how, I felt like my body was surrounded by furry cats. What the hell?
My eyes stung in pain by the lights above me, I couldn’t help but yelp in pain. And just like that the light’s went off. Like they were waiting for my cue if I was still living.
I grunted as I tried to pull myself to a sitting position. For all I never someone could have kidnapped me and wanted to do something horrible to me, while I was passed out.
I brought a hand to my dizzy hand, I could see white sheets on my legs and I could feel a pillow behind me. Did I go to heaven?
“Oh, your awake sleeping beauty. Here I brought you some advil pills” a voice beside me spoke.
My head pounded crazy while the voice spoke. I looked up at the person with disbelief.
“Caleb? What are you doing here? What happened?” I tried to say normally, but I needed a few breaths between two words.
“Whoa, slow down!” he gave an angel sounding chuckle. I couldn’t help but give a smile my own. “Drink these first” he placed the advil pill in my hand and a glass of water. I did as he said.
“I brought you to the nurse” he began.
“This is the nurse’s office?” I looked around seeing white walls and a cabinet filled with medical ingredients.
“Yeah, never been here before, eh?” he asked.
I shook my head a ‘no’. “Why am I here?” I asked.
“You were crossing the basketball court, right?”
“Yea, but I managed to make it through the court” I said.
He laughed again. “Unfortunately, my ball really liked you. I accidently hit you with my basketball” he made a face of ‘sorry’.
“Oh” I said.
He took in a sharp breath. “Yeah. You looked like you passed out and that’s when I panicked, so I took you here to the nurse’s office. I hope you get better. The nurse said you’ll be fine. You might just need to rest a little and that’s pretty much it” he informed me.
I this time gave a laugh. “Why would you be in a state of panic? I’m sure you have tons of girls falling to your feet” I attempted at a joke.
He flashed me a smirk. “I guess only the pretty ones get me worried when they fall” he replied looking at me.
I felt my cheeks flare up. “No, really” I replied.
