Yumi's POV:
cashmere cedar wood.
that's the notes of the candle I just lit in my bedroom.
light woodsy smell,feels like a warm cozy hug under the covers.
I scramble to find a outfit until I pull out a ensemble from my closet.
A long sleeved black sweater & light brown pleated skirt with black stocking underneath.
I slip on my boots & walk to the front of my vanity.
I look into the mirror after changing into my outfit.
I nearly startle my own self seeing me and my hair looking all crazy.
I run my hands through my hair & some of my fingers getting tangled up.
I cringe at the sight & i brush it out.
taking out all of my knots.
I tie my curly hair up out of my face.
I pick it up into a high ponytail despite my inner voice telling me "I'm gonna regret this later".
I smile and start doing some makeup on myself.
I go light on my face so I just put some concealer on my under eyes and cover up some of my acne.
I apply some mascara & a tiny bit of eyeliner.
I apply a nice amount of lipgloss on my lips,leaving my lips soft and shiny.
I walk downstairs holding my purse in one hand and a pack of gum in my other.
I'm about to shove into my purse when I hear a loud knock.
I hide it away in one of my purse's pockets.
I walk up to the front door & open it.
And there he stands.
my favorite boy.
His 6 foot tall stature towering over mine so I look up to meet his face.
He smiles from ear to ear and grabs my hand softly.
he pulls me out of the house in such a dainty manner as if I might break if he pulls me too hard.
I giggle and try to at least close the front door when our faces meet closely.
My face goes flush when he stares at my lips intensely.
Our first kiss,I still haven't forgotten it.
that was one of many kisses we shared after that.
"Why you look so good all the time?" He asks me tracing his finger over my hand.
He eyes me up and down & I smirk.
"What I can't dress up for our date?" I ask him.
"With a skirt like that?" He asks me smirking back at me.
"Listen Mingyu you're a decent man and if you-"
"I'm not thinking of that..unless you want-"
"Ew! Let's go c'mon!" I say shoving him back.
He laughs and waits for me to close the door.
I lock it shut with the spare key my parents gave me for school.
I walk over to him and he grabs both of my hands.
"Ready to go?" He asks me.
"Totally..lover" I say nodding and he kisses me softly.
"Unless you wanna get caught by my parents we should-"
"Right right" he says and opens the passenger seat's car door for me.
I smile and sit inside.
He closes the door and climbs into the driver's seat.
we drive off and as he drives cautiously past traffic.
I catch myself staring for too long and he must've noticed by him chuckling.
"Liked the view?" He says
arrogance laced in his tone of voice.
"Cocky aren't you?" I say and he glances over at me.
He squeezes my hand & I roll my eyes playfully..
We get to the drive in movie theater,he parks his car   & I look over at him.
"What are we watching?" I ask him.
"I randomly picked it so bare with me" he says putting his hands up in defense.
"You picked a movie without knowing what it was??" I ask him and he pouts.
"I'm sorry.." he says and I giggle at his adorable self.
"You're fine just next time check okay?" I say and he nods.
A girl in roller skates comes by the car to ask us if we want food so we order.
As we order,I notice she throws flirty glances at him.
I grab his hand and place his arm over my shoulder.
"Babe..can you get me a Pepsi?" I ask him and he nods.
Her face changes and instead she avoids me.
I stare at her as she scribbles down our order.
"Ok give us some time to prepare it." She says running her hands through her blonde hair.
"Ok" we both say & I roll up his window.
He looks at me with a raised eyebrow.
"What was that about?" He asks me.
"Nothing." I say crossing my arms over my chest.
"No? Cause it looks like you got a little jealous for no reason-"
"No reason?! She flirted with you & you literally just let it happen" I blurt out.
"That sounds like jealousy to me." He says
I glare at him and smack his arm.
He chuckles & I stare at him.
"I'm happy you find that amusing-"
"Umi it's cute..you being jealous like that. but I promise you I don't have a thing for blondes" he says.
"Sure" I say sarcastically.
He gets closer to me & cups my face with his hand.
He forces me to face him & I stare into his eyes.
"I like girls that have long curly black hair,brown eyes & a attitude that gives me a run for my money." He says and I roll my eyes.
"See that? That's the attitude I'm talking about!" He adds.
"Then what about Jessica? You were gonna be her date for the winter dance" I say looking away from him.
He notices how my tone of my voice sounds and drops his giggling.
He taps my arm & I shake my head.
He taps it again and I look at him again.
"Jessica wasn't my pick,she had no date and since you know she's friends with Serena she didn't wanna be outcasted by her." He says
"So she used you?" I say
"Exactly. but I dumped her." He says.
"I don't trust that.." I say and he gets out of the car.
What the hell is he doing.
"Attention! I have a announcement to say to everyone here!" He says and I hide my face in embarrassment.
I get out of the car and decide maybe i should just leave.
As I'm walking away from his car,I hear his voice behind me.
"My name is Mingyu Choi I go to a local high school here in Brooklyn! I'm in love with a girl named Yumi Jeon...she's the most smartest,prettiest & kindest girl at our school. I love her so much that I want to ask her to be my official date to the winter dance. I want all of NEW YORK to know that I love her." He says loudly and I turn around hearing the last part.
I tear up
"Great asshole you're making me cry" I say fighting off the tears that want to spill out.
"I love you so much." He says running over to me.
"Can we not fight?" He asks me.
"Just as long as you don't give me a reason to." I say and he nods.
"I'm yours." He says and I lean into his ear.
"I will go to the dance with you Mingi" I say and he shouts loudly.
"SHE SAID YES!" And everyone at the drive in movie theater applauds while also looking confused at the same time.
"Let's get in the car before they kick us out" I say and I shiver because it's starting to feel chilly.
He takes off his jacket and puts it on me.
"Alright" he says and we go back to his car.
There we see the girl again waiting with our food.
I smile at her and she smiles back hesitantly.
"You scared her you little meanie" he whispers in my ear
"Oh well" I say shrugging.
we settle ourselves in and the movie finally starts after the commercials finish...
