Y/n's pov

"You okay?" I asked Yeji in a concerned voice while I drive back to school.

"Yeah. Just shaken up."

"Why didn't you stood up for yourself? I saw what happened yeji, you were holding back."

She seemed hesitant to talk. "It's nothing. Let's not talk about it."

I sighed and turned the radio on to fill the tension with soothe. She kept looking at the side window and to the front and back.

This girl was really too innocent and she can't protect herself. Not without me anyways. I'll teach her.

"Y/n it's 2 in the morning and school is almost here. Why are we here?" Yeji asked.

I almost had to carry her to go here on the field. I wore my windbreaker and leggings and Made yeji wore something comfortable to strech with.

"Look. Being not able to fight back is the worse. I saw you wanting to talk back in the mall, but you were too sweet and kind. If I were you I would of have kicked their ass."

Yeji chuckled at the last bit making me smile.

"I'm going to teach you what I learned when I was 15." I said and took my staff.

"You know how to use that when you were 15 years old? You're kidding." Yeji said and I laughed playing a little with it.

"Want me to teach you this? Or how 'bout physical defenses?" I asked and she said she preferred the second one.

"Disappointed but sure. It's your choice." I threw the staff away on the grass.

I spent hours teaching yeji how to master her reflexes and how she reacts immidiately when someone touches her aggressively. She was a fast learner and almost as good as me. I've taught one person only.

I threw a punch on yeji's face but she moved to the side and grabbed my arm twisting it around my back quickly.

When I groan in pain she lets go. "Oh my god are you okay?! I'm so sorry." She said helping me get up.

I laughed. "I shouldn't even be teaching you this. You already know how to defense."

Yeji got shy. "I have never even been on a fight. That was why I couldn't talk in the mall."

"Figures. When someone bullies or talks rudely to you directly you show them their place. Don't ever let them talk shit about you. It will make you feel unwanted and dirt for them to step on. Make them feel what their worth. you know what's their worth? Nothing. Make them feel like their nothing." I walked past her tapping her shoulder as a sign of goodbye.

"Where you going? We have the same dorm."

"Gonna grab mcdonalds. you want some?"

~~

I turned off the engine and walked towards mcdonalds. Yeji didn't want to come because she was exhausted.

Beats me. I still have a lot of energy so might as well use it.

After ordering I sat on the table. It's 4 in the morning so there wasn't much people around here. Only a guy with his coffee and computer on the table.

I ate until I couldn't anymore and but I felt eyes looking at me. Not at the food chain but directly at me. When I stepped outside I got hit by the cold wind.

Instead of walking to my car and go to school I walked to the dark alley with my folded three section staff on standby.

I walked until I heard light footsteps behind me. I anticipated and heard it behind me already. I slid the staff through it's full weapon and hit the figure by the leg making them kneel.

I hit their head lightly but no too light. Enough to make them feel lightheaded.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked pointing my weapon at her. She has black hair and I saw the smirk on her lips when she stood up.

I was taller than her by an inch but she could pass as an intimidating villain.

"Couldn't remember me? How dare you." when she looked up to meet my eyes I sighed and folded my weapon back.

"You damn idiot Jieun. I could've gotten you a black eye." I said annoyed. She laughed at my reaction and swept the dust off her knees.

"Months and you still can't hit me properly."

I scoffed. "Made you kneel."

"Whatever."

"Look why are you here Jieun?" I asked.

Her eyes soften and she let her guard down. I saw her shoulders weigh down like she had been carrying something heavy.

Her smile faded "You didn't hear? Tristan's gone."

I scoffed. "Don't play a ploy with the devil Jieun." I said not believing her.

"Y/n.. He got into a car accident while going here. He wanted to talk to you but I didn't know what abou-"

"Stop.." I whispered and she immidiately stopped talking. I turned my back on her and closed my eyes breathing in slowly, exhaling out slowly until I calm down.

"Since when.?" I ask to jieun and she sighed.

"He fell of a cliff so we didn't know where he was. It was a week ago."

I faced her again angrily. "A week? A fucking week?! You couldn't if have notice he was gone by then?!" I shouted loudly.

"I was busy y/n. I had other shit to deal with. I never even thought of him.." She said honestly and I sighed.

"Leave. Don't come back here again." I said and walked past her going back to my car.

"Why? What are you doing here y/n?" She asked and I stopped.

"Avenging a death I couldn't of have prevented."

~~

The next day me and yeji went together and find our classes. Almost every class we had were the same except english.

The desks were two table side by side and there was space for people to walk past us. The teacher doesn't introduce us one by one, thank god.

But people were nosey and told the teacher to do so.

I was called to stand up and introduce myself. Full name and where did I study last.

"Hi I'm kim y/n and I studied at Daegu science high school."

When I was about to sit back down I saw a familiar pair of eyes settling in on mine. It didn't took her long to look away and I sat back down.

She was in the front while I was in the back. Who knew she would look back at me.
