I'm tired

I'm tired.

It was a sudden feeling, but it was a company for me. It's been there, hiding behind my eyes, lurking into my words.

I want to sleep sometimes, just to forget everything.

I'm just so tired, not the feeling of exhaustion whenever you had a work nor the feeling of your bones turning soft from previous activities.

I'm tired of being tired.

I guess I'm not normal, huh?

...

My name is Callia Allen Xu, a girl with the most normal features and normal day to day routine. The color of my hair and eyes are the same, black, I am not petite nor chubby, just the right size.

I graduated in a not known University in a business course in B city. My parents are furious to say the least, of course, Asian parents love to boast their kids accomplishment to their relatives. But my father quickly recovered from it and respect my decisions, however, my mother is a different case.

She always grumble about my life, how unaccomplished I am. My work is not good enough, my face is not beautiful enough and my decisions in life isn't good enough.

I think I'm just not enough for her.

I'm the only child in our family, that's why I'm the only one who bears the heavy responsibility after my father got sick due to old age.

You can also say that I'm a bit of a snob because I don't like talking. I like being alone.

I work in a finance company, a insurance company to be exact. I got some greedy superiors here and there but fortunately, they don't bother me so I'm fine with that.

I had a lot of fun when I was in highschool, but it didn't stay.

Maybe it's because of him?

Or it's just me.

"Hey! You're not listening to me!" One of my coworker said as I looked at her blankly.

"Oh, sorry" I muttered lowly.

"You should really cheer up you know? Try some lipstick so your face won't look like a millennium ghost!" She said, she's right though, I don't like makeup.

I just smiled at her while she shook her head, she was about to berate me again when our head department walked up and told us to gather around.

Another work, another tiring day.
