A sickness overcame the world that Adeline Grimes-Walsh lived in, an incurable disease running rampant through the streets. Chaos and panic were quick to spread across the nations like wildfire while the dead woke from their slumber, hungry for the tainted souls that roamed the wretched Earth. And Adeline? Authors Note :
Well ... there's that. A rewrite sounded like a good idea to me, and I'll explain why to y'all. First off, when I started this story, I was young, immature, and maybe didn't have the best possible views on things. Now, I've changed as a person and I believe that I can write Adeline as the mature, independent woman that she is. So, yes, some details and decisions in this story will be changed. Something that y'all will notice quickly is the difference between how early Theo is introduced. I decided that I wanted her to be there for some other stuff, so I hope y'all agree with where I decided to put her introduction! Hopefully nothing else too major is changed, but if it is then it's only because I deemed it necessary.
Please bear with me through this journey, I know some of you are probably frustrated with this decision and I apologize for that but this is 100% what's best for this story. I know that this is a huge setback in means of the Adeline & Daryl slow burn, but it'll make for a good ass scene when I finally get around to writing that first wink scene. As always, thank you guys so much for the continuous support on Serpents Tongue, it means the absolute world to me. I hope you guys enjoy the new and hopefully improved chapters.
