Chapter 37 ♔

Her nails showed signs of a recent manicure, as they were covered in a simple purple coat. She wasn't wearing much jewelry, besides a delicate silver necklace and bracelet.

Her handbag didn't look as expensive or luxurious as Shao Ling's, but it was good enough to carry basic necessities for practical use.

In conclusion, this girl did not appear to be as high-maintenance and rich as Shao Ling.

And she definitely didn't emit any creepy predatorial vibes like the previous grandma did.

She was just...normal.

She looked around the restaurant with curious eyes, until her eyes landed on Jihoon.

Jihoon smiled at her and waved his hand to gesture her over to his table.

She smiled back and walked towards him.

Once she reached the table, Jihoon stood up and pulled a chair out for her like a gentleman.

I rolled my eyes.

Why does he bother being so nice? He's gonna reject her anyway.

Once they were both seated, they stared at eachother for a few seconds before Jihoon spoke up, "My name is Park Jihoon. And you are?"

She smiled, "My name is Naomi. Nice to meet you Jihoon!"

"Naomi...that's a pretty name," Jihoon commented.

She blushed, "Ah...that's so sweet of you. Thanks Jihoon~"

He nodded, "No problem!"

Then they both began eating their meal, occasionally looking up to take secret glances at eachother when the other was not looking.

If one of them caught the other staring, they would blush and look down, taking in large mouthfuls of food to hide their embarrassment.

I rolled my eyes so hard that they reached the back of my head.

What am I watching?! Some cheesy romance drama?!

I feel like a third-wheel invading a couple's lovely date.

Well technically, this is a blind date.

But why's he blushing at her??

Did he forget our original goal to crash these blind dates?

There's no way we can do that if he keeps being this nice to her..

After a few minutes of eating, Naomi looked up and started a conversation, "You know...when my parents first mentioned arranged marriage, I kinda freaked out and was very skeptical of the whole idea. But now that I'm seeing you, I'm actually really looking forward to it.." she shyly smiled.

Jihoon looked up with a shocked expression, "Ah really? Yeah, I feel the same haha!" he blushed and scratched his nape. 

She giggled and they both blushed as they stared into each other's eyes. 

At this point, I was seriously starting to get pissed off.

What is Jihoon doing?! Don't tell me he's actually falling for her!!

I mentally facepalmed. 

He's doing the exact opposite of what he's supposed to do. 

If he falls for her, what was the point of inviting me here and asking me to be his fake girlfriend in the first place?
