The one where it just hurts.

Patton was standing at the edge of the cliff just looking at the sea. It looked so dangerous and welcoming. The sea was calling to him and he couldn't ignore these thoughts anymore. Looking back at the three other sides in chains he smiled.
"Now, don't be sad, boys. I'll always be here. I'll just be," he stopped to find the perfect word. "I'll just be different, I think. I don't really know how this works, it will, however, be very curious to find out." And with those words he fell.
It has been so long he has felt like he has been falling that landing surprised him. When he opened his eyes, they were there. The dark sides. And they welcomed him. After all, one down, three to go.
In the meantime, the three sides, Anxiety, Creativity and Logic, were struggling to break out of their chains and run to save their friend.
Why him? He was always the happy one, the bright light when the weather became stormy. He was what held them together, along side Thomas, of course. In a way, he was their Dad and losing him hurt like hell.
The shadows became darker as the anger and pain grew in Virgil. The sun became cooler and wind sharper as Roman sobbed. The sea of thoughts became more violent and dangerous, now reaching the top of the cliff, the trees around started to die as Logan's usually emotionless heart completely broke.
Meanwhile Thomas was just experiencing a pain he could not explain, his heart felt as if it were on fire. He was in the middle of a date in the park when it happened. The other man had to help him to get to the nearest bench as the pain was too intense. He fell into a panic attack out of nowhere. Images flashing through his mind and tears started to pour out of his eyes.

How does one deal with this? With this feeling like you have died while being alive?
