I stood doing the table watching the snow falling across the beach till there was the little knock on my door
"its open" I laughed
"hello darling" lampwick smiled as he came in brushing snow off his clothes
"Hello" I smiled giving him a kiss "I was starting to worry"
"Sorry, I had to go on a little diversion the main street flooded and iced over so I had to go around" he explained
"Ohh my poor baby, your frozen" I complain as I gave him a cuddle "you get warm by the fire I need to check on the bird"
"Alright darling" he smiled going over to my fireplace and throwing another couple of logs on the fire
"How was work lampwick?" I asked
"Ohh alright, not to bad I suppose" he shrugs
"You alright?" I asked
