I yawned laying under my boat I knew the sun was up but I didn't care I just wanted some more sleep, just then light flooded in so I sat up annoyed as some little kid was messing with the netting on my boat "hey! Hey! Go on! Go play with the Sharks!" I complain pulling it away from him and getting up
"Shouldn't you be in school!" The teacher asks me as the kids ran back to her "or at work Young man?"
"What's it to you?" I asked her and she looked shocked and walked off I glared at a few of the kids that were looking at me till I spotted a girl about my age in a pretty little purple dress she smiled and waved sweetly so I waved back as she walked on following the children.

I stood waiting around in the bakery for the baker to load the bag up with everything I asked for keeping my eyes on the patrol of officers as they turned the corner and he handed me the bag "Three pennies" he asks but I gripped the bag tightly and ran for it out the door "Hey! stop! thief!" he yelled so I bolted down the cobblestones as fast as I could towards the beach, I heard the whistles of the officers chasing after me but I kept running trying to lose them through the little paths and stairways  but I turned a corner and one was waiting for me he snatched the bag out my hand and held me as others arrived including the baker he held me tightly and they searched me for anything else

"Let me go!" I yelled "I was hungry okay let me go!"

"What's going on?" a voice asked I looked and saw the girl from the beach in her little dress with a basket full of books and food

"Not your concern Miss Y/n just a petty thief," the officer told her

"How much was the stuff Sir?" she asked the baker

"Three pennies," he says so she smiled getting a little bag from her pocket and hading the baker three coins and taking the bag of stuff so the officers let me go and went off the baker heading home too

"Thanks," I told her

"Your welcome" she smiled "why were you stealing bread, and cakes?" she asked

"I was hungry," I answered "I don't have any money"

"here" she smiled handing me the bag "But you really need some proper food, stop you getting so hungry. Here come over to my place at sundown I'll make you something"

"No, I couldn't ask you to do that, you've done more than enough for me, more then I'll ever be able to repay," I told her

"I insist, number 13 on Seaview, don't make me coming looking for you" she warns "I know where your boat is"

"Okay, I'll be there... Umm miss?" I asked

"Y/n" she smiled

"Lampwick" I smiled giving her hand a little kiss "I'll see you tonight then"

"Tonight" she smiled heading off to do whatever she needed to do.

I walked along the path of Seaview, the little street right next to the wall that looks over the beach and ocean I walked along counting the numbers on little doors all of these houses where small often three numbers were for the same little house just people in separate sections of the little houses, most of them young women, young men, couples and families of no more than three or four all the children around where very young, the eldest I could spot was about eight, I spotted ten and knew I was getting close so I fixed my hair and such making sure I looked nice I saw eleven and twelve then fourteen, where was thirteen? I couldn't see it anywhere till I spotted on the side of fourteen was a metal staircase leading to another door on the second floor so I went up the stairs and saw 13 in beautiful golden letters the door had some markings and a few herbs and things around it so I smiled and Knocked on the little door

"It's open" her voice smiled so I pushed the little door open and went inside to the little one-floor house, a bedroom to the side and a little kitchen to the back where y/n stood cooking there was a large window that looked out to the beach and the sea I could even see my little boat from here "have a seat Lampwick" she smiled indicating to the table by the window

"are you sure you don't need a hand with anything?" I asked "I mean I can't repay you for today, or for this dinner least I can do is try to help," I asked her

"aww lampwick it's alright It's all done" she smiled "Go sit down"

"Okay, But I'm doing the dishes," I told her

"Deal" she smiled giving my cheek a kiss ad I froze

"Y/n... W-w-why would you kiss me?" I stuttered

"I wanted too" she shrugs

"Alright" I smiled going and sitting down trying not to blush too much as she came giving me a little plate of chicken "I don't have much, the school doesn't pay me much but I did my best" she smiled

"it's alright, its been years I had a real meal," I told her

"Ohh you poor little thing" she smiled "sorry I'm not the best cook in the world"

"Ohh believe me y/n, you could have warmed food you found in a trash can and I'd be thrilled," I told her.

I smiled as I walked along with y/n across the beach as the sun began to set across the sea so we stopped and leant against my boat "Lampwick, any progress on a job?" she asks

"I've been trying, a couple of places said they were interested in getting an assistant" I smiled "Maybe soon I will be getting some money"

"Yeah, then you could get your own place" she smiled "and pay for your own dinner"

"yeah hopefully.... or I could always, help out paying for your place?" I suggested "Or maybe we could get somewhere bigger together"

"aww lampwick, wouldn't you want to get a place with some pretty little thing?" she asks

"Y/n, your all I have," I told her "your the only person who has cared about me in years. you're all I have"

"Aww lampwick, you're so sweet" she smiled hugging me close "If you liked lampwick, you could always move in with me get you out of the boat," she says

"Move in... with you?" I asked her

"if you wanted" she shrugs

"I would want to" I blushed "Very very much y/n"

"Okay, whenever you liked too" she smiled giving my lips a little kiss so I happily kissed her back till we both pulled away "Come on Mr, no sleeping in this little boat, your coming and cosying up at the foot of my bed

"Okay hun" I smiled giving her a kiss and holding her hand.

I ran up to the little flat and opening the door

"Ohh Hello lampwick, you could have knocked darling" she laughs

"Sorry hun, I was just excited to see you," I told her giving her cheek a kiss "I brought you a cake," I told her

"Did you pay for it?" she asks

"Yes, I did, why don't you trust me hun?" I asked her giving her a cuddle

"No I do not darling" she smiled

"I did you can ask the baker, I paid for it with the money from work," I told her

"Come on dinner time" she laughs

"Okay, but don't get working too hard hun, don't wanna stress baby too much," I told her giving her a little kiss.
