You got home from a long tired day from school and you were planning on sleeping your day away "urgh but I have homework" you whine as your plans of taking a nap where crushed

Dragging your feet you unlock the door and are greeted by your mother and another woman

"Hi honey, how was your day at school" she asked greeting you with a smile

"Urgh, god was it long and boring like my weekends are more interesting, and that's with the Internet soo..." You replied removing your bag from your back and slowly laying down onto the couch

"Uh Y/N honey, did you say hi to our guests" you heard your mom ask you, sounding more of a demand then a question

"No mom I didn't" you answered your eyes slowly closing

"Well get up and greet them" she replied giving you a look

Slightly rolling your eyes, you get up and walk towards the kitchen "hi I'm Y/N, nice to meet you" you mumbled looking towards the woman, who smiled widely

"Y/N greet them properly" your mom said with a slight scowl

"No,no it's fine i see she's very tired so it's alright " the woman replied laughing slightly

"Finally someone who gets it" you mumbled quietly

"Anyways honey I'm Liz and this young fella right here is my son Luke" she greeted motioning towards a boy glued on his phone "we're your new neighbours"

"And Luke is going to be going to your school...so you'll need to help him out" your mom added 'great'

"So to make things more comfortable, why don't you and Luke go and talk for awhile" your mom said making you slightly groan in frustration

'Why can't this woman see I'm tired' you thought shaking your head

"Well that's a great idea Y/M/N, Luke honey get off your phone and go talk to Y/N" Liz replied taking the phone from Luke and ushering him off the chair "we'll be leaving in about an hour so enjoy yourselves"

The two of you walk towards the guest living room and just...sat there

"So...urm where are you from?" You asked trying to start a conversation, but not getting a reply in return

"Ok uh do you have siblings" you tried again but still getting nothing

"Oh my god...a-are you deaf" you asked still getting nothing in return

"So much for talking" you mumbled grabbing the remote and turning the television on..to distract both of you from the awkward tension in the air

1 hour later

"Luke honey...time to go" you heard Liz call

"Finally" Luke mumbled getting up and walking towards the kitchen

"Well then" you said quietly following him

"Did you guys have fun?" Liz asked putting her coat on

"Totally" you replied with a hint of sarcasm, spotting Luke from the corner of your eye rolling his eyes

"That's wonderful, well it was nice meeting the both of you" Liz said giving both your mom and yourself a hug "we'll see you later"

"I'm guessing it didn't go well" your mom asked after they left

"Guessing, god mom he wouldn't say a word not even one, it was so awkward" you exclaimed rolling your eyes

"Well Liz and I have become great friends" your mom beamed at her achievement
