"We're glad that we've finally got to take you home" the lady that I know named Jay said smiling big "you have no idea how long we've waited for you"
I nodded giving her a smile back, it's weird adopting a child that is in their teenage years when usually they take the kids that don't remember shit about their families or their back story but hey whatever floats their boat
"Johannah I think you're scaring her" said the man that I know named Daniel as he chuckled at his wife's reaction towards me
"Oh hush Daniel I'm not scaring her, what makes you think I'm scaring her" she asked turning to ask her husband
"The look on her face kinda gives it away" he replied pointing towards me
"Oh I'm a scaring you darling, if I am don't be afraid to speak up alright" she said taking my hand and rubbing it in a motherly way, something I haven't experienced since I was 2
"Yes Mrs.Tomlinson" I replied as her eyes went wide
"Honey you can call me Jay, Mrs.Tomlinson is only used for business purposes your my baby girl" she said smiling as i gave her a warm one back, I think I may like her family
"Oh and if you're worried about the kids don't be, their very welcoming.....right Daniel" she said looking up from me and taking a glance at a still Daniel
"Y-yes their very lovely, great children" he replied then taking a deep sigh and getting up to refill his airport coffee

His POV
"I can't believe mom is bringing some black girl into our family.....OUR family" Lottie huffed as she looked at us
"And it's not helpful that we're literally the whitest family on this street" Fizzy said closing the cap on her marker
"Actually we're not, the Pickletons are the whitest family, their last name is like the icing on the top" I inputed as the girls laugh
"Anyways guys, don't be too bitter mom said that she's officially part of the Tomlinson/Deakin family and we just have to accept that" Phoebe said as we all nodded
"I don't know where you got your preaching skills came from but.....AMEN" Daisy said throwing her hands in the air, making slight chuckles leave people's mouths
"I'm just that talented" Phoebe replied wiggling her eyebrows then grabbing the tape
I just hope this will be a good family decision

Your POV
We pulled up in front of a regular sized home, not to big but not to small...it had the sterotypical white picket fence with flowers tracing out the little walkway that stops at the staircase
"Alright are you ready sweetie" Jay asked taking my hand in hers
"Sort of" I replied biting the inside of my cheek, I was nervous as hell
"Well don't worry love, if they gang up on you I've got your back" she replied pulling me into a hug
"Okay Ladies first" Daniel said grabbing my suitcases as Jay grabs my hand and walks me towards the house
I don't know if she can feel the clamminess that were coming from my hands, because I am literally two steps away from fainting
What if they don't like me, or think I'm some sort of alien since you know I'm black and the whole family is white...well not as white as the one family I saw coming into the neighbourhood...like damn it's like they painted a huge stereotypical white family all over themselves
