"Ayy that's my jam" I hollered as 'Away' by Inyaya played
"I know that you feeling me from away" I sang along as I danced to the song, completely forgetting I was supposed to be making dinner for my family that are coming I'm 5 hours
"Wow if I knew you could dance that will I would have taken dance lessons" I heard a voice behind me making me stop and turn around
"Well I mean when an African song plays and your from Africa, it's a match made in heaven" I replied smiling and walking towards the fridge "oh and by the way, my family is coming in a few hours"
"Like your family, family" he asked his widening as I looked at him
"Yes my family, family don't worry they'll love you, I promise" I reassured walking up to him and giving him a kiss
"Whatever you say, can't wait to meet my African queen's parents" he replied leaning in and kissing me
His POV
'Oh god her parents are coming what am I going to do, what if her dad goes all mufasa on my arse oh god, she's looking at me act casual' I thought
"Whatever you say, can't wait to meet my African queen's parents" I lied smiling and leaning in to kiss her
"Okay so since that's over with, go get ready and I'll call you down when they arrive" she said smiling then walking over to the stove
"Okay" I shouted back quickly running towards the bedroom that we shared
'How the fuck am I going to say to her parents' I thought walking back and forth
'Hello nice to meet you' noo that's to casual
'I love you're culture'....no I don't even know anything about there culture
God I'm screwed, I decided to walk towards the bathroom to get ready for the meeting

"I don't get a lot godwin, I don't pay my rent godwin" I sang along as i cooked jollof rice
"Godwin, Godwin oh my lord a win now" I heard someone sing behind me
"Mom, oh my god" I greeted my accent coming out as I hugged my mom
"Well you're idiotic ways has left the door open, how many time do I have to tell you..this is not Africa where where you can leave everyting open" my dad said shaking his head
"Nice to see you too daddy" I greeted hugging him
"Eh heh, how are you my daughter" he greeted
"I'm good just cooking" I replied walking towards the stove
"Eh you are making jollof eh, that is my girl" my mom smiled
"So where is this boy, you keep talking about" my dad asked looking around the kitchen
"Upstairs I'll get him for you" I replied wiping my hands on a towel and walking upstairs
"Hey uh Calum my parents are here" I said walking into the room and seeing a frightened Calum
"ALREADY I THOUGHT YOU SAID IN 5 HOURS" he whispered/yelled as he got up
"It's not my fault that they came earlier, now get you're ass down and stop yelling at me" I whispered back turning around and walking towards the stairs
His POV
"Hello I'm Calum and I'm dating your daughter...urgh that's to casual" I whined walking towards the top of the stairs

"Where is this boy, I thought you went to get him" I heard a strong male accent ask as my palms got really sweaty...good lord give me the strength
"Hello Mr and Mrs Olomfe, I'm Calum" I greeted giving them my best smile
"Eh heh, you've got yourself an Asian boy" her mother said looking over at me, my pits becoming Niagara Fall
"Um actually he isn't a-"
"Which is good because he probably has a good job, tell me son are you a doctor or lawyer" her father asked looking at me, my god I'm talking to mufasa
"Urm, well I'm actually in a b-band" I stuttered as I played with my fingers
"Oh like Bieber Justin heh, or or what is her name Bacon..Because"
"You mean Beyoncé" Y/N said corrected her dad as he snapped his fingers
"Eh heh, so so you sing eh..what do you sing" he asked
"Songs I guess" I answered
"I mean what kind of songs" her mother asked this time
"Uh...pop and rock" I answered
"Eh so you bang guitars for a living" her mother asked as Y/N slapped her forehead
"Eh can't you see I'm asking him a question, slapping your forehead hey don't make me go over there and help you, nonsense" her mother shot back doing some weird noise with her mouth at the ending
"Anyways, that's good I used to sing myself heh I was the number one person in Nigeria" her father said smiling
"Must have sounded like a dying goat, have you seen yourself heh heaven can hear you and God will be crying in pain" her mother dissed laughing Y/N joining her
