Something ignited in him as he took in her appearance.
Lauren stood in front of him. He watched silently as she took small steps towards him.
He couldn't believe it, but she was here. She was truly here.
Time sped up quickly, as he now stood few inches from her. He could simply pull her towards him.
And that's what he did.
He gently held her waist, closing the distance between them.
Then he did something he wanted to do for so long. Something he craved for the years they spent apart.
Within a heartbeat, he leaned forward, and placed his lips on hers.
Kissing her.
