So 👏 Because Harley and her fam are from Hawaii and obviously surf I've decided to make this page to help with some of the Hawaiian and Surfing slang terms as well as Greek vocabulary they use every now and then. :)

Surf Terms
Ankle Biters – Very small waves.
Blown Out – When windy conditions wreck the waves and keep them from forming.
Kook – A hurtful word in surfing; means you can't surf, surf style is bad or you snake other surfers.
Quiver – One surfer's collection of boards.
Soul Surfer – One who surfs for the pure enjoyment and not interested in competing or looking good.
Worked – When you get pounded by a wave and pushed underwater.
Wahine – Female
Tandem – Two people riding the same board, usually a male and female.
Ding – Damage to the surfboard.

Mano - Shark

Aloha - Hello/Goodbye
Mahalo - Thank you
Hale - House
Kapu - Forbidden/Keep Out
'Ono - Delicious
Pau - Done/Finished
Lua - Restroom/Toilet
Ohana - Family
Pali - Cliff
Lolo - Stupid
Moke - Large Local Tuff Guy
Opala - Trash
Maika'i no au - I'm Fine
Maika'i - Good
A'ole pilikia - No problem
Hapa - Racially mixed>Half Pacific Islander
Kay Deh - Alright
Grindz - Good Food
Kahakai - Beach
A hui hou - See you later
Lu'au - Feast/Party
E hele kāua i ke kahakai - Lets go to the beach
