Chapter 18

~ A FEW HOURS AGO ~

With Yujin and Yumi seeing their uncle alive and Kiba also seeing Yujin alive, the three of them couldn't help but start crying.

"Yujin... you... you managed to live?!" Kiba said.

"Yes... I did... thanks to your support, Uncle."

"I'm... I'm glad."

"That's why... stay alive‼ Watch me as I live my life to the fullest‼"

Yujin managed to wake Kiba up. But his body was still weak to move. The only thing that he could do was to talk and eat. Yujin and Yumi were worried that a man like Kiba, who took pride in the wars that he participated, would get depressed seeing that his body was no longer capable of fighting. But as Kiba woke up, he was full of happiness upon seeing Yumi, Yubel, and, most especially, the resurrected Yujin.

However, they didn't notice that a man was watching Yujin and his family just in front of his house. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket, and he was just standing in there without moving despite that he was drenched in the rain. The man said,

"He just woke up his uncle."

Suddenly, a mysterious voice replied to the hooded man,

"Really? I didn't expect it to be this fast, Candleman would definitely love this news! Sadly, I heard he's on a prison right now."

"Seriously? Where is he held?"

"At Earthnuker, on the Onorika Kingdom."

"So... Do we have to save him?"

"Nah, he can take care of himself. Plus, he needed to meet somebody in that prison."

"I wanna help, I wanna get out of this shitty Kingdom, it's too peaceful right here. All of the action stays in the background."

"Just wait for a moment. Just a little bit more, and you'll experience some action since he just revived his uncle this fast."

"It's not like he's improving that fast. You're much much faster... Mars."

"I'm curious who did he summon. Sometimes, the life of the successor highly depends on who will that person summon. Well... seeing his improvement, I guess he summoned someone dependable."

Suddenly, a loud explosion was heard from the other side of the line. The hooded man asked,

"What is that? Are you in a battle?"

"Yeah, I'm in the northern part of the Octavian Kingdom. The shadows are still chasing me. I need to do this much... otherwise, Ka'el Yujin will be their target."

~ PRESENT ~

Back at the tournament, Yujin swore to his uncle to watch him as he'll live his life to the fullest. He shouted at Ka'lion Aiden,

"I need to win. I promised someone I'll win up to the top‼"

But Aiden was just glaring at him.

"In 3... 2... 1... begin‼"

Yujin immediately enhanced his legs with lightning. But he stopped as Aiden quickly unleashed his first attack by stepping his right foot at the floor. At the point of contact, a huge crystal of ice started appearing and started chasing Yujin. Yujin equipped his hands with heat force and punched the large crystals that were coming at him. But he was surprised that only a fraction of it was destroyed. Ultimately, he was hit by the crystals.

He was blown away but quickly managed to stand up. He swiftly made a spear made of flames and aimed it at Aiden, but Yujin saw that Aiden also made a spear made of Ice. Aiden managed to throw it at him much faster. But seeing the trajectory of the ice spear, Yujin knew that it will miss him and that he no longer needed to dodge. But as soon as Yujin stepped on the floor, his leg slipped. Unknown to him, almost half of the arena was already covered in ice, making the floor slippery. Yujin fell to the left that he was eventually hit by Aiden's spear. It turned out, Aiden was already aiming for the position where Yujin will slip. --
