"Ray did it," Jeff says from behind me. He knows I would have done it. Jeff nudges my shoulder and I have to bite back a wince. "You already did so much today, he wanted to relieve some pressure."

"Good old, Ray," I mutter, shaking my head.

Jeff chuckles, "Yeah, good old Ray."

"Fallon!" I hear Ray shout from the dining room.

I roll my eyes. "Yeah?" I call as I make my way out of the kitchen. Ray and Alex are still standing in the same spot.

"You can head home. Jeff and I can handle the rest," he tells me.

I give him a questioning look. He never lets anyone leave early unless they are sick or dying.

"You sure?"

"Stop worrying about this place so much, Fallon," Ray chuckles. "That's my job."

I shake my head slightly and send him a warm smile before heading back to the office to get my things. I grab my purse from the safe and slip on my sweatshirt.

Alex smiles when he sees me approaching. He lets his eyes travel up and down my body before settling on my face again. "You ready?"

"Yes," I sigh. I've been ready to leave since I got here.

Ray hands me my paycheck and gives me a side hug. "I gave you tomorrow off," he says and I give him an annoyed look. I wish he would quit giving me surprise days off. "Don't look at me like that," he scolds. "You earned it."

"Fine," I sigh. "But if you need me..."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it," he cuts me off.

Alex grasps my hand in his and leans me towards the door. "It was nice meeting you, Ray," he shouts over his shoulder.

"You too," Ray says before the door closes.

Alex opens the door for me and I slide in. I watch as he walks around the front of the car and opens the driver's side door. Once he was inside, we began our journey down the dark road.

"Um," he says nervously. "Is it alright we we swing by my house to let my dog out?" Awe...he has a dog. "I mean if you don't want to, I understand. I can drop you off and go..." he rambles.

I giggle. "I don't mind," I tell him truthfully. "I have nothing better to do."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," I confirm and he smiles. I never actually thought about what his house might look like or what he might actually do for a living.

A short time later, we pull into a driveway and my jaw drops as the house comes into view. It is huge. And by huge I mean, holy shit huge.

He parks the car and turns his attention to me. "Would you like to come in?" He asked.

"Did you even have to ask?" I deadpan, causing him to chuckle.

Alex walks around the car opens the door for me and extends his hand for me to take and I do. He leads me to the front door and while he searches for the right key, I take a look at my surroundings.

We already established that the house was huge, but I couldn't help but notice how dull it was. There were no flowers. No yard decorations. No nothing. Maybe he just moved here?

The sound of a dog barking pulls me from my thoughts. It's definitely a big dog that's for sure.

Alex pushes the door open and he is immediately greeted by a large, German Shepherd. He laughs and scratches the dog's head. "I missed you too," he tells the dog.

I smile at the sight. "What's his name?" I ask.

"Max," he tells me. "He's a really good dog."

Max then turns his attention to me and jumps up placing both his paws on my shoulders. I stumble a little but manage to keep my balance. His wet tongue explores every inch of my face and I giggle.

"Max," Alex scolds. "Get down." Max doesn't listen and continues to assault my face. "Max," Alex says again and grabs him by the collar, pulling him off me. "I'm sorry. I don't know what's gotten into him. He normally listens."

"It's alright," I reassure him. "He's a very sweet dog. Although, I would love it if I could wash my face!?"

Alex's face softens, and a smile appears. "Of course. Follow me."

Alex flicks on the hallway light and leads me down the dull white hallway, passing a large staircase that leads upstairs. I couldn't help but wonder if his bedroom was up there. That's really nice, only here five minutes and I'm already thinking about his bedroom.

I hear scratching on the hardwood floor behind me and turn to see, Max following close behind. I smack into a solid object— which I assumed was a wall. A wall that came out of nowhere. I feel warm arms wrap around my body, holding me steady, and look up to see Alex staring down at me with amusement in his eyes. Oh god, the wall was him.

"Are you alright?"

I stare into his big beautiful green eyes and get lost for a minute. I never noticed just how green they actually are until now. It's like I'm staring into emeralds. My face flushes in embarrassment when I realize I've been staring for too long. God, what is wrong with me?

I try to pull away, but his grip tightens around my waist. A shaky breath escapes my mouth as we both continue to stare. The feeling of his body pressed against mine sets my body on fire. If he doesn't let go of me right now, I'm afraid I might melt.

Finally, he decides to set me free and turns on the light in the bathroom. I mutter a quick thank you and rush in, closing the door behind me.

After doing my business, I turn on the sink to wash my hands and face. When I was finished, I opened the door and was immediately greeted by a very happy Max. He doesn't jump on me this time and only wags his tail.

I pat him on the head and make my way down the hall from which I came and noticed a light that wasn't on before and went in. It was the kitchen. A very large, beautiful kitchen.

I could cook for at least fifty people in this thing.

The floors were hardwood, like most of his house and the walls were a soft cream color. Finally, walls that weren't white.

I walk further into the kitchen and run my hand over the marble countertop until I reach the stainless steel kitchen sink. I wish I had a sink like this.

Yes I know I'm swooning over this kitchen and Don't judge me.

The kitchen cabinets look like they were pulled straight out of a home and garden magazine and placed on the wall. That's how beautiful they were.

Don't ask me what kind of wood they are because I don't know. I'm not a Home Depot kind of girl. All I know is that they are gorgeous.

"You done feeling up my kitchen yet?" Alex asks, pulling me back to reality. I turn to see him standing in the doorway of the kitchen with his arms folded over his bare chest.

I swear my heart stopped beating.

I shamelessly rack my eyes over his sexy body, making sure not to skip any part of him. He was barefoot and replaced his fitted jeans with a pair of grey sweatpants.

Jesus take the wheel.
