Chapter 3

Month 1:

"Hey Jeongin" Chan said sitting in the chair.

"I feel like Im in jail" Jeongin scoffed, letting his head fall on the table.

"We technically are" Chan stated.

"I wanna go home" Jeongin whined lifting his head.

"Where is home?" Chan asked.

Jeongin stared at the table. "Some place far from here"

"Do you think we're ever gonna get out?" Chan asked.

"I have hope" Jeongin smiled.

Month 2:

"If you were to travel anywhere, where would you go?" Chan asked.

They were laying on the floor of the room staring at the ceiling.

"Australia" Jeongin smiled.

"Im from Australia" Chan said turning his head to look at him.

"Explains your accent" Jeongin stated.

"Im going to take you to Australia one day" Chan said looking back up at the ceiling.

"One day"

Month 3:

"I brought someone" Chan said as he entered the room.

Jeongin got up from his bed, "Really who?"

Felix walked into the room a smile on his face. Jeongin gasped running to embrace Felix with a hug.

"I missed you" Jeongin mumbled.

"I missed you too" Felix said hugging him back.

"You missed me too right?" Chan asked with a smile.

Jeongin looked at him, "No"

Month 4:

"Do you like him?" Felix asked.

"I dont know" Jeongin shrugged, sitting back in his seat.

Felix smiled softly at him, "You do. You just dont know it yet"

"I dont know, Felix" Jeongin sighed.

"You will. When you love someone you'll do everything to make that person happy"

"Do you like someone, Felix?" Jeongin asked curiously.

Felix smiled once again, "Yeah. But I don't believe he likes me back"

"Have hope" Jeongin smiled back.

"I have to go, Innie" Felix said once there was a knock at the door.

They hugged, Felix gently kissing his forehead. "Take care"

And that was the last time he visited for the next few months.

Month 5:

"What happened between you and your sister?"

Jeongin tensed, "Why?"

Chan shrugged, "We've been talking."

"About?"

"Stuff. She seems nice"

"She is until you get on her bad side" Jeongin mumbled.

"I like her"

"You what?!"

Month 6:

"Why do you hate her so much?" Chan asked.

"She almost killed me, Chan!" Jeongin stated.

"She doesn't seem like the type of person to do that" Chan said.

"Because you weren't there" Jeongin said through gritted teeth.

"She's been getting the help she needs, she's not the same anymore"

"I wont believe it till I see it" Jeongin spat.

"I'll bring her in" Chan said.

"Do it and I'll-"

"Give her a chance!"

Month 7:

"I told you not to bring her in" Jeongin glared.

Rosé and Chan were standing on the other side of the table. Jeongin glaring at the two.

"You need to talk about it"

"Well I dont want to"

"Can you stop acting so childish and just talk to your sister? With out arguing, for once?" Chan questioned, his voice harsh.

Jeongin's face dropped and he took a step back before nodding.

"Okay then" Chan sighed.

"Can you let us talk alone?" Rosé asked.

Chan nodded, "Yeah. I'll be outside"

The worse mistake he made.

Month 8:

"I wanted to tell you something" Jeongin said happily.

"Me too" Chan said with the same excitement.

Jeongin almost melted at how cute Chan looked being so excited.

"You go first" Jeongin smiled.

"Rosé and I are dating" Chan said.

Jeongin smile faltered, "What?"

"Rosé and I-"

"Yeah, Rose and dating are you, I get it. I meant why?" Jeongin said.

"Rose and dating...what?"

"Why are you dating her? After everything?" Jeongin questioned.

"Its not that big of a deal, why are you getting so mad?" Chan asked.

Jeongin scoffed, standing up from his chair.

"Its not that big of a deal he says" Jeongin sighed beginning to pace back and forth.

"You're literally dating my sister. Who is a total bitch and fucked up my life" Jeongin stated.

"She's changed. Why cant you just let it go?" Chan asked standing up.

"I don't want you dating her" Jeongin said.

"Why?"

"Because I-" he paused.

"When you love someone you'll do everything to make that person happy" Felix's voice echoed in his head.

"Can you just be happy for me? For us?" Chan asked.

Jeongin sighed, leaning against the wall, "Yeah"

Chan smiled, "Thank you"

Month 9:

Chan's visits became fewer and fewer until he didn't come at all.

Jeongin sat on the floor, staring at the door hoping it will open and Chan would come through.

He never did.

A tear slipped down his cheek, "I.." he started.

"I like you" he whispered to no one.

Month 10:

Felix visited twice.

"Im sorry" He said as Jeongin held onto him like his life depended on it.

"It's not your fault" Jeongin mumbled.

"Im sorry I stopped visiting" Felix said pulling Jeongin closer if possible.

"At least you came back" Jeongin said.

"You want me to punch him?" Felix asked making Jeongin laugh.

"Yes please"

Month 11:

He saw the curtains. And the candle. And the matches in the drawer.

And in the mist of his state, he thought "Fire is pretty"
