I feel guilty, that my brother shoot Tharin. I had no idea that he had a gun on him. I mean he do kill people but I thought he left the gun in the car. But anyways I feel really guilty because i might be pregnant with Tharin's baby. I went to the store and got a pregnancy test. It came out positive, I scheduled an appointment for a DNA test because it can be Tharin's or my brother's bestfriend, Kayvon. I told my bestie, Faith about me being pregnant but not my mom.
Incoming call from ride or die 💁
Unique: Hello
Faith: Hey girl
Unique:oh hey
Faith:so u made the appointment yet.
Unique: yea
Faith: do u want me to go with u

Faith:ok. So when u going to tell your mom about your situation.
Unique: Tonight

Unique mom name is Keshia
Keshia: UNIQUE HAILEY LEE, GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE
Unique: I have to go my mama calling me.

Hungs up the phone
I walked downstairs to see my mama sitting on the sofa with the house phone in her hand.
Unique: Yea ma
Keshia: Tell me why I just got a call from DNA lab about an appointment u made.
Unique: .........
Keshia: why u need an DNA test
Unique: ma I was going to tell u-
Keshia: Bitch I ain't stupid, I know u pregnant.
Unique: .......
Keshia: And u don't know who the father is. You are a hoe. I'm going to take u this apointment and I made u an ultrasound for today.
Unique: ok
Keshia: give me your phone.
I give her my phone and I went up stairs and took a shower.
Next Day
Fast ward after the DNA test and Ultrasound, the baby is Tharin's and I'm 3 months pregnant. So right now my mom and I are driving to Tharin's house to tell him I'm pregnant, I really don't want to but my mom is making me.
Maya POV
I'm over at Tharin's house, I been over here a lot seen u know he got shot. Anyways me and Tharin were seating on the couch watching Netflix.
Knock knock
Tharin's parents and his sister wasn't home so I had to answer the door. I open it, it was Unique and some lady are at the door.
Keshia: Hi, do Tharin live here
Maya: Yes
Keshia: Can we speak with him.
Maya: yes.
I let them in the house.
Maya: They would like to speak with u Tharin.
Tharin: ok
They sat down on the couch.
Maya:i'm going to be upstairs
Tharin: no come sit down.
Maya:ok
I walk over there and sat next to Tharin.
Keshia: Unique have something to tell u.
Tharin: what
Unique: I'm...... I'm......... I'm pregnant and u the father.
Tharin POV
I can't believe what I just hear. I don't know how to feel. I look over at Maya who was looking at me.
Tharin: Umm how long are u
Unique: 3 months
Tharin: how do u know its mines
Unique: I took a DNA test.
Maya got up and walked out the door.
Maya POV
I don't where I'm going, but I just continue to walk where my feet take me. I end up walking to the park / baseball court. I sat down on the swings and I stared to cry. I got my phone out of my pocket and called Eva.
Eva: hello
Maya: hey
Eva: What's wrong
Maya: Unique is pregnant with Tharin's baby.
Eva: * gasp* Oh, I'm sorry girl.
Maya: its ok
Eva: where are u
Maya: I walked to the park
Eva: do u need me to come get u.
Maya: no
Eva:ok, do u need anything
Maya:no
Eva:ok
Maya: I have to go
Eva:ok, bye
Maya:bye
I hung up the phone and as I was looking up I saw Amare over at the basketball court practice. I decide to go over there and say hi. I got up off the swing and walk over to him.
Maya: Hey, can I play u
Amare look over at Maya.
Amare: hey
Maya:so can I play
Amare: yea
Amare pass me the ball and I made a shot.
An Hour later
Amare and I are sitting in his car after playing basketball. We were talking and laughing. Then I look at Amare and then his lips, I want to kiss him so bad.
Amare POV
I saw Maya looking at my lips, so I lean in and kissed her. She pulled away from the kiss.
Amare:sorry
Maya: what's there to apologize for.
Amare: u pulled away
Maya: its not that
Amare: What is it
Maya: umm u know Unique Brooks
Amare: yea
Maya: so she pregnant with Tharin's baby.
Amare: oh
Maya: yep
It was silent until Maya's phone rung. She answer the phone and got out the car. After five minutes Maya got back in the car.
Maya: That was my mom, she looking for me.
Amare: oh, do u want me to take u home.
Maya: if u want too, but u don't have to.
Amare: ok
I put the car in reverse than in drive.
Maya: thanks
Amare: no problem
At Maya's house
Maya: Thanks again
Amare: no problem, again.
Maya: well bye
Amare: bye
Maya was about to open the door and get out, but I grabbed her arm. She look back at me and I lean in and kiss her. Maya pulled away and smile, then got out the car and went in the house.
Maya POV
Miranda: MAYA BROOKLYN JANAE QUEEN, WHERE HAVE U BEEN.
Maya: I been at the park
Miranda: With who, I called Tharin and he said that you walk out and did not tell him where u going.
Maya: oh
I was about to walk upstairs until my mom stop me.
Miranda: Where u going
Maya: to my room
Miranda: we are not done talking
Maya: oh
Miranda: So who was this person
Maya: this boy name Amare
Miranda: what were y'all
Maya: talking and playing basketball
Miranda: and that's all
Maya: yea
Miranda: u should call Tharin and he sounded worried
Maya: no I'm fine
I walked upstairs to my room and shut the door.
Next Day
I was in class on my phone when I heard someone came in and sat by me, I look up and saw it was Tharin.
Tharin: Hey
I did not look up from my phone.
Tharin: *wave his hand infront of Maya's phone* Hello
Maya: hey
Tharin: I called u last night
Maya: I know
Tharin: why didn't u call me back
Maya: because I didn't feel like it.
Tharin: What's wrong with u
Maya: I don't know, what's wrong with me? *rolls her eyes and get back on her phone*
Tharin turns away from Maya and gets on his phone. Amare walked in and sat in the seat behind Maya. Maya turns around and start talk to Amare. Tharin see this and get mad.
I saw Tharin over there getting mad so I kiss Amare on the cheek.
Tharin: yo chill out with that stuff
Maya: Man u chill out, was just a friendly kiss.

Maya: Anyways, Amare are going to the ball court today.
Amare: Yea
Maya: Well I be there
Tharin: So u out here flirting with other nigga, like u don't have a whole ass boyfriend.

The bell ring and class got started. Forward to after school and Maya is at her locker when Eva walked up to her.
Eva: Hey girly
Maya: hey
Eva: so what are u doing after school
Maya: *shut locker* im going to the basketball court why
Eva: I wanted to come over
Maya: *start walking out the school* ooh u should come with me
Eva: wait first off why are going to the basketball court.

Maya and Eva walked to Maya's house, Maya change into some basketball clothes. Then they call an uber and drove to the basketball court. When they got there Maya spotted Amare playing basketball. Maya also saw Tharin walking up to the court, her mood changed really fast. Maya,and Eva got out of the car and was walking towards the court.
Maya: Im going to the park
Eva: why the basketball court is right here.
Maya: looks who over there though.
Eva: oh, well we will be going to the park than.
Maya and Eva walked over to the park and sat down on the swings.
Eva: so what u want do now
Maya: I don't know
Tharin sees Maya over at the playground and walks over.
Eva: look whos coming over
Maya see who coming there way and she gets up and walk away.
Tharin: Maya
Maya: What
Tharin: Why are u running away from me.
Maya: *stops and look at Tharin* I can't do this
Tharin: do what
Maya: this relationship
Tharin: so u want to break up
Maya: yea
Tharin walks away and Maya just stood there stunned about what just happened.
