"Mhm and this time it's not a visit." She said.

"Shut up. So your meaning to tell me he's living here?"

"Temporarily."

"Why, did he quit music or something?" Diamond asked.

"No, he's just taking a break." Crystal said an Diamond nodded.

"When's he coming?" Iyan asked.

"Tomorrow!" Crystal jumped and clapped her hands.

"So is your family gonna throw a welcoming party?" Diamond asked.

"Of course, and you all are invited." Crystal said.

"Girl, I'll be the first at your doorstep." Iyan said. Crystal looked at me.

"I can't." I said.

"Oh if you and Darius already have p-"

"It's not because of him, I'm going to a dinner with my family at Rachel's." I said.

"I see. What for?" Iyan asked.

"My dad works for her dad and it's a thing he does often." I said.

"Is just your family?" Diamond asked.

"I'm pretty sure there will be others there. But tell me how everything goes." I said.

"We will." Crystal smiled. The bell rang and we all made our way to our next classes.

Justine and I went in the house and found ma and dad chatting in the dining room.

"Hey."  I said and kissed them both.

"How was school?" Ma asked us. I shrugged and Justine didn't respond.

"Taking that as a it went well." Dad chuckled.

"Well I brought dresses for tomorrow and laid them on your beds." Ma said.

"Why can't they just come here." Justine whined.

"Because he's my boss and it's his dinner." Dad said.

"Do I have to go?" She asked.

"Of course, he wants us all to go." He said. Justine gave him a sad look then ran upstairs.

"What's wrong with her?" He asked me.

"Why don't you go find out?" Ma said. He got up and went after her.

"Desiree can I ask you something?" She asked me. I nodded.

"What happened in school the other day?" She said.

"What?" I said playing dumb.

"You know what. Your principal called and told me you got into a bit of an altercation. Care to explain?"

"It wasn't my fault. There's this girl that's always messing with me-"

"Why didn't you tell me this?"

"Ma if I told you, you would've made it bigger than it is." I said.

"I would've put her in her place that's all."

"Anyways she'll always mess with me and she told someone to throw cake at me and next thing I knew we were fighting." I explain. Ma just sighed and shook her head.

"Your lucky you didn't get suspended." She said.

"Ma I had enough of her, I don't know what her issue was this me."
