Somewhere I Belong

I woke up to someone poking my arm. I opened my sleepy eyes and looked up. There was two scary looking women with the same crimson eyes as me. One has straight brown hair and the other had very curly hair. They gasped when they saw my blood red eyes.

"An Immortal child...." the curly one hissed.

Tears welled in my eyes. No. I wasn't what they thought I was. I'm not! Why does everyone hate me? Why can't I be loved? And what the heck is an immortal child?! Is it a word that meant 'abandoned child'?! If it is....

"We must inform her to the Volturi. Whoever the creator was must have abandoned her in hopes of escaping punishment." hissed the straight haired one.

Who is this Volturi? And why do they speak their name in such fear? The straight haired woman picked me up and they raced to who knows where.

Five hours later, we arrived in a populated town not too far away from Venice. I knew this because I saw a road sign that we passed not five minutes ago. They entered a medieval looking castle that had this dark but inexplicable aura to it. I noticed that the two women that were carrying me seemed to cringe once the shadows set upon them. We walked for what seems like hours until we reached an elevator. It opened before us and closed once the opera music started playing. I know that it may sound crazy but even though this place is dark and gloomy, I felt more at home here then anywhere else I've been. Once the elevator doors opened, we entered a vast room made of white marble and granite. There really wasn't anything in that room except for a small desk and the receptionist that was sitting in it.

"Hey you can't be up he-" she stopped and her eyes widened as she met our crimson ones.

The two people carrying me scowled at her before walking on towards a large set of wooden double doors. They swung it open with such ease, as d throwing a cotton ball across the room. We entered another vast yet elegantly designed room. Three thrones were placed upon a pedestal like royalty. Was this what the Volturi were? Royalty? A man with long straight black hair walked down with a cheery smile on his face. It wasn't the one that made you all warm and fuzzy inside. It was the one that made you cringe. It was the smile of a crazy person.

"Ah! What a pleasant surprise! Zafrina and Senna! The Amazons! It's been quite a while since you last visited. And who is this?" he asked, his milky red eyes traveling towards me.

"Aro, this is an immortal child we found laying in a pile of dead leaves a little distance from our residence. We believe that their creator abandoned them in order to escape from their punishments." explained the one called Zafrina who was also gripping me a little too tightly for my liking.

She might crush me any second and my arm already hurts so much!

"Excuses! You're just trying to make up for creating this immortal child!" hissed the blond looking man on the right throne.

Does he need some love or something? What am I talking about. I don't even have a single person who loves me and here I am asking if that creepy man wants love? I truly am going mad.

"Peace Caius. Peace." smiled Aro gently.

"Now...may I, my dear?" asked Aro, extending his hand.

Was he asking to shake her hand? Zafrina nodded and placed her hand into his, Aro clasping it tightly and zoning out for a couple of seconds. When he released it, he looked at me with curiosity. He gently grabbed my tiny hand and zoned out once again. Once he released my hand, he gave me a sad smile. A genuine one.

"My dear...you have suffered greatly." he said.

"What are you talking about, brother?" hissed Caius.

"This young lady goes by the name of Secret. Secret Cullen."

At the sound of my last name, gasps echoed through the throne room.

"Cullen?! They have created an immortal child?!" cried Caius, outraged.

There it is again with the immortal children. Jeez....what the heck is that anyway?

"No brother. They are hybrids. And she also has a twin sister. By the name of Renesmee Carlie Cullen." sighed Aro.

While they talked, I looked around the room. There was a very large and strong looking man in the far corner, looking at me with this brotherly feeling. I smiled at him and he smirked. Just for a second. My eyes wandered to another man beside him. He had dirty blond hair and a mysterious aura to him. He looked at me and tilted his head as if trying to fathom something out. To my left was two vampires that looked awfully alike. Must be siblings. The girl had blond hair tied in a neat bun and the coldest look you could give a living soul. Next to her was a young looking man...probably in his late teens. They both had this malevolent aura to them that chilled my bones. But there was a wall. Something blocking me from knowing something I shouldn't. I was so tuned in on the twins that I didn't notice when I was transferred to Aro's cold arms and the two Amazons walked out of the room. It was when Aro started stroking my cheek did I snap out of my thoughts.

"Now now....what to do with you." he smirked.

I looked up at him, fearful of what is to come. I was surprised when the person in the far left throne stood up and smiled gently down at me.

"I think we should keep her, brother. We could use some life in the castle." he said, nothing more than a whisper.

"Nonsense! She is a disgrace to vampire culture! She must be destroyed." hissed Caius.

I started trembling and softly crying again. Why does everyone hate me so much? What did I do wrong?

"Brother....I think Marcus is right. We should keep her. She could have potential. Her name is so unique. I bet her power will be too." smiled Aro, gently cradling me in his arms.

I smiled up at him. At least now I have a home. Even if the host is someone who wants me only for my power. Assuming that I have one.

"Jane, Alec, my children, you are to look after Secret. She will now be your main responsibility." ordered Aro.

They stiffened a little, as if taking care of me was the worst punishment someone could give them. But they were loyal to their masters and did not let their feelings get in the way.

"Yes master." they both said in sync.

Geez. Creepy much? Aro slowly walked down the pedestal and handed me to Jane who stiffly took me in her arms. I looked at her with curious eyes and maybe I was my mistaken but, I saw her own eyes soften. She gently touched my arm and I wailed in pain. The injury Rosalie inflicted on me when she dropped me was still there. My bones did heal, but the wrong way.

"What's wrong?" Jane asked softly, worry crossing her eyes.

I have made a grave mistake. I judged someone before knowing them. She wasn't the scary and mean woman I thought she was. She was a protective young lady who I admire. Everyone looked at her dumbfounded. They probably weren't used to her being nice and all. Since I couldn't speak, Aro answered for me.

"Rosalie Cullen dropped her when she found out that Secret broke Bella's water even though she didn't." sighed Aro sympathetically.

Jane's eyes burned with fury.

"Who told her that she broke Bella's water?!" she hissed, hugging me protectively.

"Her own twin." sighed Aro.

Jane's eyes turned pitch black as Alec put a hand on her shoulder reassuringly.

"Sister...calm down." he whispered.

"How can I calm down brother?!" she hissed, lashing out.

I looked up worriedly and tried my hardest to make out a few words.

"I wuv you Aunt Janey." was all I could say.

Jane looked down at me surprised.

"What did you say?" she asked.

"I wuv you." I smiled.

She smiled brightly and kissed me all over the face.

"I love you too little star." she smiled.

I laughed and clapped my little hands together. Finally, I have someone that loves me for who I am.
