"Then why are you helping me leave?" I stammered.

"He'll kill you in an instant, you'd die meaninglessly. You are sent here for a reason, we can't let you die yet." Baekhyun smirked. "It'd be fun to know on how long a normal girl can survive while she's living with eleven demons"

All this time, it was a plan. I was fooled! No wonder my stepfather was so persistent about me staying here. Whatever happens, I'm bound to suffer either way. "Sehun's here," Tao warned.

In an instant, the rest of the siblings were here. "We tried stopping him," Xiumin said as he held his arm. I noticed that all of them were slightly injured. Is Sehun really that strong?

I should have taken their warnings but heck, I just had to be stubborn. I wiped the sweat running down my temples as I tried opening the huge front door one more time.

I couldn't... I'm trapped in here.

"We tried to warn you" I looked around and I saw all the other guys giving me a mixture of sympathetic and ignorant looks.

With a loud crash of thunder and lightning, I saw his silhouette at the top of the stairs. I tried to make another run for it but he suddenly appeared in front of me.

I froze in shock and fear suddenly enveloped me. He is not the same guy I met earlier, not only has his appearance changed but his aura as well.

I flinched when his cold fingers traced my jawline, I tried to move but I feel like my body has been paralyzed. Is this his doing too?

He leaned down and planted a rough kiss on my lips. He bit my lip until I could taste my own blood. I could feel him smirking against my lips as he stroked my hair.

"Starting today," he began as now dark red eyes stared into mine. "You're my property."

He held onto my wrist, his hold was so tight I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up bruising. "Don't try to make any attempts of escaping, I won't hesitate to kill you if you ever do that." after that, he disappeared.

Tears continuously flowed out, my knees weakened and I landed on the floor. I felt betrayed, frightened, violated, confused... everything!

"That was a first," Suho said as he went near me and patted my shoulder. "Don't worry, you're safe now."

Safe?

"You're the first person that he didn't kill," Chanyeol said. "I don't know if it's a good thing but it might be."

"W-what am I going to do?" I sobbed.

"Sehun would kill any of us if we keep you away from him. You heard what he said." Lay sighed as he helped me get up.

"I'm not his property, I'm not an object." I said. All the frustration was building up in me, I don't know what to do anymore.

"We can't do anything to help you, once Sehun changes forms he becomes unstoppable." Chen explained.

"Why did he even change forms? And how can he return to his normal self?" I asked.

"He transformed when you came in contact with him, that's why we can't let him near you. His powers are unstable and if he comes in contact with a mortal, he becomes bloodthirsty." I swallowed the lump in my throat as Luhan explained. "He'll only return to normal once he's pleased. That is, after killing a human but it's different with you so we don't know."

So there's still a chance that he'd kill me tonight.

"What about the rest of you? How can I be sure that I'll be safe?"

"We're harmless, you only need to worry about Sehun, he's the only one with the curse." Chanyeol explained. So Sehun was cursed?

"But I thought I'm here as payment? Can I still guarantee my safety?" I asked them.

"You are, you're stuck in here and that's enough. Besides, who knows what Sehun is capable of?" Kai chuckled. "We'll just continue the experiment of how long you can stay alive here."

I know I'm horrible for thinking of this but I really hope my stepfather gets killed by a demon in the future.

"You must be tired Paige, it'd be best if you'd stay in your room. Don't come out until tomorrow morning, it'd be best if you don't roam around the house for now." Suho said. I nodded then he once again ordered Luhan to accompany me there.

"Lock the door if you want but we'd still be able to enter," he chuckled. So I basically have no privacy here? "You don't," Luhan teased.

"Please stop reading my mind." I groaned.

"Sorry, it's unintentional," he winced afterward. "I should go, Suho is calling me, we have to clean up the mess in the dining hall," he said.

"How can he call you?" I wondered, it is one of my unanswered questions since I came here.

"Telepathy," he smiled before he completely disappeared.

I sighed before plunging onto the red duvet on my bed. I was tired both physically and mentally.

I turned off the lights and I covered myself with the red sheets. The only thing illuminating my room was the light from the moon. I would've taken the time to appreciate it but I just couldn't, especially that I'm in a situation such as this.

Demons exist... I'm living with them.

I find it ironic since they all had such angelic faces. Who would've known that these guys were half-demons?

I took one more glance at the night sky before closing my eyes. What does he mean that I'm his property?
