CHAPTER NINE
[ A SHOULDER TO CRY ON ]

Lisa Manoban. Known with her fearless and fierce personality, she never let anyone to sway her emotions, she's always in control that's why she remains on the top as one of the most powerful woman in Korea, but Mino sees her the otherwise.

He had known her since the first day of her training years. She was a crybaby, as she easily get homesick. She was just that little vulnerable girl when they met, other trainees gave her a hard time by discriminating her. But time made her tough, as she build tall walls around her heart.

Mino would never thought he will see this side of her again. He rubbed his face with his palm as he convince himself to take a step closer to the woman who is watching some K-drama alone with her ordered pizzas and fried chickens. As what he had thought, Lisa would never let herself drink alcohol when she's broken hearted, he had seen her this way before with her secret first boyfriend.

Years ago, when she's only eighteen years old, the company banned her from drinking alcoholic drinks or even going to bars and so when she got her heart broken, the oddest thing she did to comfort herself was to binged K-dramas as she ordered every fatty foods that their company strictly warned her not to eat. Until she gotten used to that habit, so when every time she get sad? You will see her with her cutest pajama, at the front of her huge television while watching K-dramas with a chicken on her hand.

Of course, Mino had been always there to be her crying shoulder.
"So, what drama are you watching?"
He sat beside her and took a pizza on the coffee table in front of them.

"Coffee Prince."
Lisa answered in monotone, as she take a bite on the fried chicken and chewed it loudly.

"Cool. Have you talk to him?"
He asked, glancing at her for a second before looking straight to the television to also watch what she's been watching.

Mino grimaced at the romantic scene so he just put his focus to the sulking girl instead.

Her eyes and nose were red, it was obvious that she's been crying all day. Well the tissues around them is the very evidence of that.
"YG, will give a statement tomorrow Mino. They didn't want another messy up scandal so they will confirm it."
She said, her voice cracks at the end. Mino brush his fingers to her bangs, a way of comforting the girl.

"Are you okay with that?"

"I don't know. Am I allowed to refused?" She look at him and Mino poked her well hidden forehead.

"You're the girlfriend."

"Was the girlfriend." She snorted, but not even a seconds had passed she is sporting a sad frown again.

"What do you mean?" His brows furrowed and Lisa put down what she's eating as she wipe her hands with wet tissues. She then face him, eyes are blurry with threatening tears.

Oh no, she will cry again.

"You know what saddens me more? It's the fact that we both cheat behind our backs." Her lower lip quivers, as she played with the ends of her anime character pajama.

"He said, I wasn't supposed to know this way that he was suppose to be the one to tell me first and not that shitty website, but well jokes on me right?"
She chuckled sadly, and he listened to all of her cries. Mino take off his headband on his head as he put it on to Lisa, leaving a no trace of bangs to cover her adorable forehead.

His best friend looks like a baby and it's funny how he makes fun of her while she was about to cry any minute now. Lisa pouted at this and slapped his arm, but then proceed on telling him her feelings.

"Did I took him for granted?" She tilt her head and Mino put his hand on her face to push her face away a little bit before putting his hands on her shoulders.

"Listen, Lisa—" She didn't let him finish and Mino was left speechless with the words she just blurted out.

"I kissed someone you know? And it's infuriating. Fucking infuriating! Because you're not supposed to flirt with other guys when you have a boyfriend, Mino." She angrily spat out, obviously blaming herself why Hanbin and her broke up. Lisa raked her hair as she hide her face in embarrassment. She couldn't even have the courage to look up, she was afraid to see the disappointment in her best friend's eyes.

"This is my karma isn't? He got tired with me just like my ex did." Lisa muttered her words in whisper, as she watch her teardrops fall on her lap. She felt like a loser for crying again, she thought she cried enough but her emotions are traitors for making her feel this way again.

Lisa heaved a deep sigh, taking all her courage to look at Mino.
"I'm such a failure with relationships."
She pouted, cheeks wet with unstoppable tears and when she met his eyes, her heart aches for she didn't even saw any judgement in it, Mino just nod his head, understanding every complicated things about her.

He even lift his hand to wipe her tears away with his thumb. Mino then reached for the back of her head as he gently put Lisa to cry on his shoulder.

And just like the old times, he is there listening to all of her cries and rants.

"I only had two long relationships with all of my life but I even fucking screwed it." Mino chuckled at this and that's when he know she started to feel better when she slapped his arm for laughing at her complains.

"You're only 23, Lisa. Don't exaggerate that much." He said amusedly, and Lisa quickly pushed him away from her, pouting her lips as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Bitch, always ruining my fucking drama." She clicked her tongue, as she didn't even forget to glare at him.

Mino shake his head, laughing softly with his best friend's act.
"C'mere you're such a shitty ass drama queen, Lisa." He grabbed her arm and pulled her into a tight hug.

His best friend's facade melted the moment he rocked her gently in his arms, Lisa rested her chin on his shoulder as she let out a deep breath feeling a bit better now than earlier.
"Nobody loves me, Mino. Let's just start dating." And also just like that, her mood changed quickly to teased her best friend like they normally do.

Mino pushed her back a little bit to look at her face, and Lisa bit her lower lip to stop herself from smiling when she saw him grimaced.

"Stop being gross." Mino then raised his hand as he flick on her full shown holy forehead. "Aw! You ass! That hurts!" Lisa rubbed the part where he flick as she throw a pillow straight to his face.

And their playful banters starts again.
