(A/N: Before y'all get confused, Tatsuo and Corvin are the names of your parents.)

Your P.O.V

I could only see black and I couldn't hear anything.  I began to panic, my breathing becoming uneven as I looked around.  I thought that the worst had happened.  Did I slip into a coma? Or even worse; did I die?  I thought I was already buried six feet under until a hand started to brush its way through my hair and a soft, angelic voice started to sing a lullaby.

"La la lu, La la lu, little wandering angel, fold up your wings, close your eyes,"

A blinding light flickered on and I shielded my eyes with my arm, squinting at the light.  The lullaby kept going as I slowly adjusted to the light.  'Huh? Where am I? How did I get here? Wasn't I on the battlefield with Yuu?'  I thought in confusion as my eyes flicked from side to side.  The soothing lullaby stopped suddenly and a hand was rested on my forehead.  "Ah, you're awake, my himegimi.  Are you feeling all right?"  I looked up to see who was speaking, my breath hitching.  It was my mother, looking not a day older than the last time I saw her.  My disbelief took the form of tears, which rolled endlessly down my face at a rapid pace.

My quiet tears turned into an uncontrollable sob, like a baby crying out for the comfort of their mother's touch.  My mother hugged me tightly and rocked me side to side slowly, whispering comforting things in my ear as she rocked.  All of the panic and caution I had before were thrown to the wind as I hugged my mother.  I needed this comfort from my mother.  When my messy sobbing was reduced to quiet sniffling, I pulled away from her arms and looked into her warm, dark brown eyes.  "How are you still alive? Wh-Where did you go after the attack on the village?"  I ask tiredly, tilting my head.  She visibly froze up, hesitating and played with a strand of long black hair nervously.  "That...that's the thing. I'm not alive. After you ran off, my maids and I went to look for you, but lost our lives doing so."

~Flashback~

Tatsuo's P.O.V

As the ground began to shake, my husband took up his weapon and commanded me to get our daughter.  "Get her somewhere safe, Tatsuo! I'll be back!" I nodded and ran as fast as I could to reach my daughter and her friends.  My most trusted maids, Bashira and Nikaio, followed me to (Y/N)'s room.  I busted through the door and saw (Y/N) at the window.  I grabbed her by the waist and ran in the direction of the docks at the edge of the village, my maids grabbing Alma and Kanda.  "Momma, let go! Daddy is in trouble! We have to help him!"   Y/N) screamed into my chest, hitting and scratching my arms in the process.  I tried to run through the pain, until an Akumas blast landed nearby, tearing up the dirt path that we were on.

I made the decision to drop (Y/N) and rolled under a wooden pillar.  (Y/N) picked herself up quickly and ran with her friends back in the direction of the Akumas.  I was dizzy and held a hand against my head, feeling it dampen with my blood.  I heard creaking behind me but was too out of it to move.  Bashira and Nikaio noticed this and ran towards me.  "My Lady!" They pushed me out of the way and sacrificed themselves to save me from being crushed by the debris of my ruined home.  I stood up slowly, stumbling as I began to cry.

I fumbled away from the sight of the ruins and searched around for my daughter.  "(Y/N)? Himegimi, where are you? Please, come back!"  The blood gushing from my head was beginning to stain my clothes as I took a step and it was so painful.  "Tatsuo! What are you doing out in the open, ma poupée?! Come here!"  I turned to my left to see my husband and smiled as I made my way slowly over to him.  "Corvin! My dear, I thought you died in the first attack with your friends..." I trailed off, casting my gaze to the side.  He smiled and placed his large hands on my cheeks, tracing old scars from my years of being an Exorcist.  "I almost did, mon cœur, if not for my friends. They believed that I should be with my wife and child right now. They didn't die in vain."
