Allen's P.O.V

When I was at the base of this accursed mountain, I dreaded the climb that I had to take to get to the top.  But now that I stand here in front of the Black Order, I can't help but feel a little relieved now.  Still, the weight of my pack was making my back and shoulders ache, so I called out to the gatekeeper to let me in.  It was rather quiet for a few moments while I waited until some crazy, blue-haired samurai jumped from the shadows of the bushes nearby the gate and tried to kill me with his katana.  I was petrified and was sure that I was going to be cut down where I stood if it wasn't for an (h/c) girl who slid in front of me and blocked the blow with her scythe.  After a slight power struggle, the girl shoved the samurai away.  "Kanda, he is with us. He is General Cross' pupil."  The so-called "Kanda" glared at me without a reply.

I felt intimidated under his gaze.  Fortunately, I was rescued by another girl with greenish pigtails, who smacked him on the head with a clipboard and proceeded to lecture him.  "Kanda! Be nice to our new friend!"  He made a noise before taking his leave.  The girl with pigtails sighed after the man left and smiled at me.  She stuck out her hand.  "I'm Lenalee. And you are?"  I was relieved that there were sane people at the Order and took her hand.

"My name's Allen. Thank you two for saving me."  Lenalee giggled and slung an arm around the other girls' shoulder.  "No problem! Also, this is (Y/N)."  (Y/N) gave me a small, but reassuring smile and waved.  After introductions were made, the gates opened and the two girls gave me a detailed tour of the Black Order.  They were very helpful when I was lost and gave me well-informed answers to my questions.  Somewhere during the tour, we bumped into Kanda again and I decided to apologize for starting off on the wrong foot.  He grunted and brushed past us.

"Don't mind him. He's cold at first, but once you get to know him, he warms up to people."  Stated (Y/N).  I nodded slowly and followed the girls to the dining hall.  Lenalee snickered playfully when she heard my stomach growl.  "You must be hungry from your trip here. Go ahead and get anything you want. Jerry makes literally everything. We will be waiting at our table."  I grinned, ran over to Jerry, and ordered a whole buffet of food.  My moment of bliss was shattered when I heard yelling at one of the tables in the dining hall.  "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?!"  "I said you are a dumb ass fool with his head in his ass."

I sat down quickly beside Lenalee and ate my food quickly.  I gulped down my food.  "Should we do something, Lenalee?"  I asked, standing up slowly from my seat.  Lenalee shook her head nonchalantly and pulled me back down by my sleeve.  "It's fine, Allen. Let the master take care of it."  Lenalee nodded her head over at (Y/N) as she stood up from her side of the table.  She gazed down at her utensils and examined her knife.

Her finger ran across the blade and seemed to hum in satisfaction.  With the knife still in hand, she smirked and looked up at Kanda and the Finder that he was arguing with.  (Y/N) took a deep breath and held it as she aimed and threw the knife directly between the Finder and Kanda's faces.  They both looked in (Y/N)'s direction.  She was unbothered a wore a neutral face.  "Man up and take your little dispute outside."  The two men slightly glared at each other and grunted while walking away from each other.  (Y/N) sighed and ran a hand through her hair.

She sat back down and started to eat her own meal.  "Sorry about that. Everyone goes wild as hell during lunchtime."  I nodded and smiled.  "Oi, (Y/N). Why did you do that? I was going to finish him!"  (Y/N) looked up and saw Kanda standing over her.  She scoffed quietly and continued to eat her meal.  "The both of you animals always fight at this time and I'm always the one that has to yell at you all."  (Y/N) said plainly.

I looked between Kanda and (Y/N) and gawked at her and how she spoke so simply to the intense samurai.  'How can she talk like that to possibly the coldest person I have ever met?'  Kanda growled lowly when we made eye contact.  He stormed over to my side of the table and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt.  "What are you looking at, pretty boy?"  Kanda snapped.  I gulped and stuttered.  "I-I...I..."

He dropped me all of a sudden and left.  (Y/N) sighed angrily and finished eating.  "I'm gonna go. I hope you have a good rest of your day, Allen."  I waved goodbye and watched her as she went in the same direction as Kanda.  After (Y/N) left, I turned to Lenalee and confessed my concern.  "Is she going to be alright? Does this happen often?"  Lenalee nodded and rubbed her temples.  "Whenever this happens, she goes and talks to him to lighten his mood. It always works-"

She was interrupted as a big gust of dust flies into the mess hall.  As the dust clears, my eyes spot a body sliding down a crumbling wall.  It was then that I noticed that (Y/N) sunk against the wall.  I alert Lenalee and rush to (Y/N)'s side.  I wrap one of her arms around my shoulders as Lenalee does the same with her other arm.  We carefully walk her out of the dining hall and out into the main hall.  I turn my head as we help her.  "What happened, (Y/N)?"

She doesn't answer me, so I assume she's knocked out cold.  As we continued to walk down the hallway, I looked up and saw Kanda glaring at me.  I gulped and brought (Y/N) to her room.  'I hope she is ok...'  I thought I lay her down carefully on her bed.  Lenalee placed a hand on my shoulder.  "She'll be ok. She's a fighter."
