Your P.O.V
The early morning sun peeked through the glass of my window and woke me up slowly. Slowly sitting up in my large bed, I glance over at the two, sleeping bodies at each of my sides. On either side of me, my best friends Yuu and Alma were sound asleep. I giggled quietly and slowly brushed a piece of blue hair away from Yuu's closed eyes. Then, I moved to Alma and pulled the covers that he kicked off back over his shoulders. After being satisfied with taking care of my friends, I climbed out of bed carefully. My small feet patted against the wood floor and carried me to the window. I struggled for a few minutes, trying to haul myself up on the windowsill, and once I sat comfortably on it, I smiled softly at the sun rise. It was a truly breathtaking sight. The moment only lasted for a few seconds as I heard a crashing sound that shook the ground, rocking Yuu and Alma off the bed.
Startled, I looked down at the village below through the window and saw a total of three, round machines that looked very menacing. A very large man with a top hat and a plastered grin that went from ear to ear floated in the air with an umbrella, and it looked like he was commanding the machines. I put my hands on the glass and stared horrified at the sight of my village being incinerated and blown up little by little. I thought it would be the end of my village until I saw my father running towards the machines with his friends in his exorcist uniform. I remember my father telling me once that he fought bad and scary things like this and he told me to be careful of the man. 'Akuma' and 'Lord Millennium' is what they were called. The machines all pointed a large gun at my father and his friends. My eyes widened and I banged my fists against the glass, crying out to my father.
I heard my front door burst open and three pairs of footsteps flooding into my room. Before I knew it, my mother scooped me up by my waist while two of my maids picked up Yuu and Alma. I thrashed and screamed at my mother, reaching for the window the entire time. "Momma, let me go! Daddy is in trouble! We have to help him!" I continued to kick and scream as she carried me through the backyard and running towards our underground shelter. We were only a few steps closer to the shelter when there was a very loud booming sound, causing the ground to shake and my mother and the maids dropped the three of us after falling.
I took this chance to stand up and stumble towards the corner of the backyard where my emergency weapon was; a sickle. I grasped it in my hand and ran through the house and towards the village. Eventually, I made it into the village and stared with wide eyes at the ground. My father's uniform and his ashes, as well as his friend's ashes, lay on the ground, gently blowing away in the wind. My wide eyes were dry, which was surprising. I continued to stare until an overwhelming sense of rage came upon me. Two pairs of footsteps ran and came to my side, which turned out to be Yuu and Alma with their weapons. We charged at the Akuma, giving our best war cry, filled with rage and grief.
I sliced at the base of an Akuma while Yuu and Alma got busy with another Akuma. I heard a cackle in the sky and suddenly, the Akumas were pointed straight at Yuu. I panicked and ran towards him, shoving him away and took the damage instead. Yuu propped himself up on his elbows after recovering from the fall and stared with wide eyes as I fell to the ground. Alma ran towards my wounded body and held me close to his chest, screaming and pleading for me to wake up but instead, his screaming attracted even more Akuma. This resulted in them being shot down, sharing the same fate as me.
My head lay against the bloodied ground and my vision began to blur. Fear and sadness coursed through my tiny body as I realized what was going to happen to me. My slightly opened eyes looked at Yuu and Alma, who seemed to be dead already. Before I fell into the black, I saw a team of more exorcists splitting up. One half of the group attacked the Akuma while the other half moved to carry Yuu, Alma and me away from the battleground. 'Yuu, Alma. Be safe, please.' My vision finally blacked out.
