Chapter 55

Brayden P.OV 

The nurses got me and Aubrey situated in a room and my mind was gone

I laid in the bed and cried, I cried to the point I couldn't breath then I heard Aubrey start to cry I calmed myself down and went to pick him up and saw Aubree's face

I backed up and looked again and her face wasn't there anymore.

"Son, daddy's sorry for waking you up" I said taking him out of the little cubby and giving him a bottle 

He drank it and I changed his diaper laying him on my chest.

Once he went back to sleep, I went to find a nurse

"Hi um, has the funeral home come to get Aubree Carter-Williams yet?"

She typed a couple things into the computer

"No they haven't"

"Can I take my son down there before they do?"

"Yes, I'll get a couple blankets to wrap him in" She said standing up 

I went back into the room and picked him up

She came in and I wrapped him in the blankets then leaving out of the room

I got on the elevator and eventually went down to the room her body was in

"Son, this is your mommy Aubree... You're named after her."

I kissed her cheek and her body was freezing cold

"Bree, this is our son Aubrey with a Y"

"I wish you could've held him before you died... I know you're going to protect him, protect us all"

"We love you Lil Ma"

I walked back out of the room with Aubrey and back up to the room and Amber was sitting there

"How did you get up here??!!"

I grabbed my phone and sent Abdul a quick text

"Y'all let my baby die?!? Really" She started walking towards me

"Amber if you know what's good for you, you'll leave this hospital right now"

Abdul P.O.V 

I was sitting down talking to Abdul when my phone vibrated in my sweatpants pocket

Brayden 11:56pm: Amber's in me and Aubrey room.

"Vincent we gotta go" I said standing up

"Lynne I'll be back!" I yelled grabbing the first pair of keys I touched

"What's going on?" Vincent asked

"Amber's up at the hospital, I'm pretty sure Brayden isn't strapped. Call Kyah and Adri" I tossed him my phone.

I propped the steering wheel on my leg and took two guns out of the glove compartment tossing one to Vincent 

He tucked it away and so did I

"The girls on the way up there"

We pulled up in 10 minutes considering I was flying thru red lights and stop signs and the girls pulled up about the same time

We walked right in and went to the nurses station

"What room is Brayden & Aubrey Williams in? I'm his father, these are his sisters and his uncle"

"3rd floor room 15" She said looking up at us

"Thanks" 

We pressed the elevator button and it took too long so we darted for the stairs
