Adam's POV

"How is he?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Jenny sa family doctor namin pagkatapos nitong icheck si Death.

"It's nothing really serious. Mukhang nagpaulan lang si Death at nagpagod kaya nagkaganyan. He'll be fine if he rests for a while" sagot samin ng doktor. "I'll still give him something para mawala ang mataas na lagnat niya" dagdag pa nito.

"Thank you" Jenny said with a sigh of relief then the doctor went outside to talk to the maids na mag-aalaga kay Death for the mean time.

"You okay, Babe?" tanong ko kay Jenny pagkaupo niya sa gilid ng kama ni Death.

"He'll be fine, Jen. Don't worry yourself too much, 'kay?" pagpapagaan naman ni Joe ng loob ni Jenny.

"Sobrang bihira niyo na nga lang iuwi si Death dito, tapos ganito pa lagay niya!" mangiyak ngiyak na sabi ni Jenny.

"Where's Soul anyway?" tanong bigla ni Jessie.

"Really, Jess? Mas inuuna mong hanapin ang bestfriend ni Death kesa sa fiance mong si Jerry?" pabirong sabi ko.

"Well, I'm aware he's with the rest of the angels so no worries. Mas nababahala ako sa fact na inaapoy ng lagnat si Kid dito pero wala ang natatarantang si Soul. That is so not like him" may pagkasassy'ng sagot ni Jessie sakin.

Sasagot na sana ako nang biglang umimik si Jenny.

"Guys, keep it down. Baka magising si Death" sermon niya samin.

"Still, where is he? I'm seriously worried about that kid" medyo mahina nang sabi ni Jessie.

"Tonight's the start of the fights between the Varia and Zoi's family. Kid asked Soul to at least keep an eye on Zoi while he's outside Shi. That's the only reason why we got him out without using force on him" paliwanag ni Joe.

"Death must really like her, huh?" tanong ni Jenny habang nakatitig sa natutulog na si Death.

"Think so" simpleng sagot namin ni Joe.

"Well, I gotta go check on my wife para iuwi na rin si MJ sa bahay. I'll be back later to talk to the Dragons with you, Adam" paalam bigla ni Joe.

Oo nga pala, nasa kabilang kwarto si MJ at natutulog. We finally got her out of Shi on her own will nang sabihin naming kasama ang tito Death niya. We really had a hard time keeping her inside the Angel's building para lang masigurong ligtas siya. Halos ilockdown na namin yung building at di papasukin ang mga tenant ng mga units do'n dahil kay MJ.

"Sabay na ko palabas sayo. Pupuntahan ko sila Kai-kai. Nag-aalala rin yun kay Kid eh" habol ni Jessie saka sila parehong lumabas ng kwarto.

"How is he?" biglang tanong ni Jenny sakin pagkaupo ko sa dulo ng kama. Tinignan ko siya at nakatitig pa rin siya kay Death.

"He's doing just fine, I guess"

"Still the same?" malungkot na tanong niya.

"He's falling, Babe. That is what's worrying me so much. I can't see anything wrong with Zoi, it's scarying me so bad. There's nothing wrong with her that I can't seem to go against Death on this" I tried as hard as I can to sound fine but my voice is betraying me.

"That's good, diba? He's falling in love, he's feeling something again!" malungkot siyang ngumiti bago ako tignan saglit at ibalik din kay Death ang tingin.

"But it's in the wrong place, Jen... Zoi treasures her guardians so much I'm scared she'll abandon Death someday for them" I heard so much concern in my own voice.
