Zeus' POV

"Hays" napabuntong hininga nalang ako nang maisip ko ang mga nangyari. How the hell am I gonna choose between those three?? But if I'm gonna choose base on the test, Levin and Cruz are definitely no match for him.

FLASHBACK

"What's going on? Where's Zoi? Why are you here and not her?" seryosong tanong ni Midnight pagkadating niya dito sa Dark Woods.

"I'm the one who texted you. Zoi doesn't know I met up with you here" simpleng sagot ko.

"What do you want from me?" he really is different when Zoi's not around.

"I want to test the people who hangs around my sister. You're one of them" paliwanag ko. "I'm actually choosing Zoi's fiance with this test" dagdag ko pa.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I need to discuss this first with the elders--"

"Why don't you take the test first? Para kung hindi ka papasa, hindi mo na kailangan kausapin ang parents mo" alok ko. Sandali siyang tumahimik, nag-iisip ata kung anong dapat gawin. "You won't have to waste their time and you won't have a hard time trying to explain the situation to them"

"Alright. What do I have to do?" seryosong tanong niya.

"Show me you can protect Zoi from everyone" simpleng sabi ko.

"I don't get i--" natigilan siya sa pagsasalita nang mabilis ko siyang sugurin at pagsusuntukin. His reflexes are quite impressive to be able to block all my punches!

Ilang pagbato pa ng mga suntok at nagtaka na ako. He's only dodging all my attacks. He's only on the defensive mode.

I purposely gave him a few openings while I still continue to throw some weak punches but for some reason, he's still only doing defense. Why?!? Why won't he attack me?!? Why won't he fight back?!?

Sa inis ko, hindi ko nakontrol ang isang suntok ko at napalakas yun. Destroying his defense and finally landing a blow on his face!

Nakita kong nagdilim ang aura niya, and for the first time, he let me see his eyes!! Nakita ko ang sobrang galit sa mga mata niya!! That's good, right? He'll start fighting back!

"Time to get serious, eh?" sabi ko saka mabilis ulit na sumugod!

Mas nilakasan ako ang mga suntok na binabato ko sa kanya pero ganun pa rin ang ginagawa niya. He's just dodging all my punches!! Occassionally blocking it if he knew he can't dodge it!

"Why..." I said through gritted teeth! "Won't..." I tried punching him faster this time! "You..." alam kong pwedeng mabugbog ang braso niya sa pagsalag sa malalakas na suntok ko, but this really irritates me!! "FIGHT BACK!?!" sigaw ko sabay ng pagfront kick sa kanya na dahilan ng pagkabagsak niya papahiga sa lupa.

Lumapit ako sa kanya. He stayed lying on the ground but his arms are blocking his face. "Get up, Midnight!! Fight back!! How will you protect her using only defense?!?"

"Then how am I gonna protect her from me if I start fighting back?!?" sigaw niya pabalik sakin na ikinatigil ko. "You said protect her from everyone... That includes me... And you..." tumayo na siya at hinarap ako. Still having that dark aura around him. "If I fight back, she'll get hurt. If I let you hit me hard enough, she'll feel the pain from your punches as well... How can I protect her if I'm up against you?!" malakas na sigaw niya sakin.

"So you're just gonna let me beat you up??" malakas din na tanong ko pabalik.

"As long as she won't feel the pain you feel on your knuckles while you hit me... Then yes, but I still won't fight back" seryosong sagot niya.
