Daniel chuckled, "It's cute to see you so worried about me, jagi. It makes me happy...to know that my future wife still cares about me, even if she's out partying with other men."
I paused. Wait what?
He continued, "I heard your conversation with Aunt Linda. And I agree with her. Jagi, don't you think you're being too cruel? Partying with other men when your husband is sick at home, suffering all by himself? Shouldn't you be a good wife and come home right away to take care of your husband? Not to mention...you're the only girl at that party. God knows what you're doing with those guys behind my back.." he whispered.
I stayed silent for a few seconds as I processed his words.
Not gonna lie, that pissed me off a bit. Does he not trust me?
"Daniel...what's up with you all of a sudden? Do you seriously not trust me around the Wanna One members? They're your friends too, Daniel. And they would never do something that betrays your trust. Neither would I. So please stop being so suspicious."
He sighed, "Sorry babe. I know it's wrong of me to doubt you and the members. I guess I'm just being too possessive since our marriage date is approaching soon...I'm sorry."
I sighed, "Alright I guess. Anyways, I'm gonna come home soon. Clearly, you're not gonna stop drinking or take your meds until I make you. Looks like I have no other choice but to go there myself and set you straight, huh?"
He chuckled, "Haha you're right about that jagi! *Hiccup* I'm so glad you're finally coming back home to me. I'll be waiting for you~" he cooed before ending the call.
Once the call ended, I placed my phone back into my pocket and turned to Jihoon.
"Sorry Jihoon, but I have to leave now. Daniel needs me at home."
Jihoon frowned, "Already? Can't you stay for a while longer?"
I shook my head, "Nah. Daniel and Aunt Linda have been blowing up my phone for the past few hours. If I don't leave now, they might end up calling the police lol."
Jihoon chuckled, "Damn. They really are overprotective of you. But I can't blame them. You're so pretty noona~ I'd be protective over you too if you were my girl~"
I blushed, feeling slightly awkward at him presenting the possibility of me being "his girl".
I shook my head, snapping out of it.
I stood up, gathering my stuff and preparing to leave.
Daehwi noticed and rushed over towards me, "Noona! You're leaving already?!"
I nodded, "Yeah. Something came up at home so I have to leave early."
He frowned and clung onto my arm, "Nooo!! Don't leave noona~ Your dear Daehwi will miss you~" he whined.
I laughed, finding it hilarious how he was referring to himself in third person.
"Cute" I thought.
Jihoon frowned and immediately snatched Daehwi off of me, "Get off my noona, you pabo! You're annoying her!"
Daehwi rolled his eyes and walked away.
Jihoon smiled in satisfaction and turned to me. He reached out and held both of my hands in his, "Thank you so much for throwing this birthday party for me, Y/N. I really appreciate it...from the bottom of my heart. It was really great seeing you today~"
I smiled back and squeezed his hands, "The pleasure is all mine, Jihoon. I had a great time today as well. It was nice seeing you after so long."
He nodded and proceeded to open the door for me. I was about to leave until I remembered something.
My eyes widened as I realized that I forgot to give Jihoon my handmade gift.
"Wait!!" I exclaimed as I turned around and grabbed Jihoon's arm.
He looked at me in shock, "Huh? What is it, noona?"
"I almost forgot to do the most important thing! Give you your birthday gift!" I said and reached into my bag to find the gift.
After a few seconds of rummaging, I finally felt the smooth giftbox against my fingers and pulled it out.
I held the gift box with both hands and extended it towards Jihoon, "I handmade this just for you, Jihoon. Happy birthday!" I gave him a sweet smile.
His eyes glinted like stars as he accepted my gift, "Wow! Thank you so much, Y/N! You're the only one who bothered getting me a gift haha~ I can't wait to see what it is!" he chirped.
"Go on, open it!" I urged.
He nodded and carefully unwrapped the pink ribbons tied around the box.
He then opened up the box and pulled out the charm bracelet I made for him.

His eyes shined with admiration as he studied the bracelet. Then he looked up at me with a bright smile, "Woah...you made this yourself, Y/N?"
I nodded, "Hope you like it~"
"No. I don't like it. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you noona!! I love you so much~" he exclaimed as he leaned forward and gave me a light kiss on my cheek.
My eyes widened and my face immediately became warm as I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks.
"No problem haha! I-I love you too...I guess.." I muttered.
We then parted ways and I helped him put on the bracelet.
It looked so beautiful on his slender wrists. Jihoon somehow made the gems and beads shine more than they already did.
"Wow!! This looks really good on me! It fits perfectly too! I'll keep this with me and cherish it forever, Y/N!" Jihoon looked up me.
I smirked, "Good. You better!~"
And with that, I hugged Jihoon one last time and bid him farewell.
I then called Sewoon-shi to pick me up and drive me back home.
On the way home, my heart wouldn't stop beating in anxiety.
I didn't know if it was because I was excited to see Daniel or if I was dreading to see him.
Something told me it was the latter.
