Case 33 - Hide and Seek

"You're not taking my offer? You must think twice. It is an opportunity."

Nakita ko sa gilid ng mga mata kong sinabayan niya na uli ako sa paglalakad.

Narinig kong tumatawa na naman ang ungas. "I don't understand. I must feel disappointed about the interrupted kiss, but I can't stop myself from laughing."

I rolled my eyes.

"Alam mo Suralvo? Hindi na ako nagtataka kung bakit nalunod ka noon. HAHAHAHAHA."

Huminto uli ako. "Seriously!"

"I pledge to protect you." he said. And I can see in his eyes that he really mean it.

I felt a tear streamed down my cheek.

Sa dami ng hirap at sakit nang nakaraan ko, pakiramdam ko ito na ang katapusan ng lahat.

That I came to an end of a painful journey.

This detective..

He moved closer 'til his lips met mine. My eyes were closed and I know I'm smiling.

.. this detective is my end and my beginning.

The end of my nightmare. And the beginning of my hopes.

Ang lakas-lakas ng kabog ng dibdib ko. It's like I'm in the middle of a death and life situation.

He moved his lips. His kiss is being passionate.

I.. I don't want to spoil this moment but.. but..

Bigla akong lumayo. Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko at para akong may asthma sa paghingal ko.

.. but if I didn't, I'll lose my breath.

"Why? Something wrong?" alalang tanong ni Wanna Be.

Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ganito kalakas ang kaba ko. Ngayon lang nangyaring para akong kakapusin ng hininga kahit hindi pa naman nagtatagal ang halik niya.

"I-I.. I need water.." tumayo ako at nagtungo sa faucet. Sandaling itinukod ko ang mga kamay ko sa sink.

This is strange.

As soon as I had composed myself, I opened the faucet and drank using my palms.
