Dinelle’s POV

 

"Suralvo, will you believe me if I said I love you?"

I was dumbfounded with what he whispered.

Kung huminto ang mundo o ang tibok ng puso ko, hindi ko sigurado.

Ito..

Ito ang unang beses na sinabi niya ito sa akin.

"I'm interested in you."

"I like you."

"I think I love you."

Hindi niya ako kailanman diniretso.

"No. Wag mong sasabihin." napayuko ako. "Enough of lies. I'm tired, Detective."

Gusto kong marinig pero naaawa na ako sa sarili ko. Ako rin kasi ang naiiwang nasasaktan sa dulo. Masyado nang malalim ang pagkahulog na ito.

Naghintay ako. Hinintay kong isang araw, gigising ako na wala na itong nararamdaman ko. Hinintay kong lumipas o magsawa ako pero.. kabaliktaran ang nangyari.

I fall really hard. Nah, I'm falling continuously.

"Let me go, please." halos nagmamakaawa na ang tono ko.

Kailangan ko nang umalis. Tumakbo palayo. Tumakas. Hangga't may lakas akong lumayo, lalayo ako. Lalayuan ko siya.
