"What's wrong, little fox?" I asked him, my voice barely above a whisper.
He narrowed his eyes at me. "Who are you?"
"Isn't that what I should be asking you?" I quipped. "Who are you? Why am I here? What are you going to do with me? What did you do to my friend?"
The other men had gathered around us while I questioned my captor.
"Your friend is fine. I knocked her out first."
The tallest of the men stepped forward, taking a good look at my face before speaking. "Take her into the next room, Jimin, and stay with her. We'll interrogate the others."
The motorist, Jimin, stepped behind my chair, grabbed the back of it, and started dragging me backwards into the next room. After positioning me in the middle of the room, Jimin went to close the door.
"Who are you?" He turned on his heel and marched over to me.
"Y/n." I answered simply.
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. I still found the action attractive despite him knocking me out and abducting me.
"What are you?"
I blinked up at him. He obviously knew I wasn't entirely human. Hybrids can usually sniff out other hybrids.
Of course, there were ways of masking one's scent. I chose to associate mostly with humans, which left me smelling like them. I also found that using pheromone perfume helped mask my scent nicely.
He leaned in and took a tentative sniff of my hair. He was less bold now that he wasn't sure what I was. Good, he should be timid.
Pulling away, I could see his nose scrunch up. "You smell like waffles."
"Thank you?"
I tried to look around the room nonchalantly. It was definitely a basement. Some kind of industrial building. Or maybe an abandoned school? There were no windows, and the floor and walls were concrete. There were a few wooden crates in one of the corners of the room, but nothing to indicate where I was exactly.
A hand firmly gripped my chin, turning my face back to his.
Jimin's eyes flashed an amber color indicating he was close to changing his form. "I'm going to ask you again. What are you?"
"Untie me and I'll show you, little fox."
I could break the ropes easily if I shifted into my animal form. But I wasn't feeling too threatened just then. I knew I was dealing with a fox and a rabbit. The handsome one seemed largely nonthreatening. Maybe a llama? Alpaca? The tall guy I wasn't sure of, though. He had an air of authority about him that I couldn't quite pin down. I didn't get a good enough look at the other three men to assess them.
I knew I could take three of them with ease, but there were still four other men to deal with.
The door opened to reveal three more men.
"It's none of them." A slim, very pale man lead the other two over to us. "Hoseok, Kookie, and Namjoon are taking care of them." He nodded his head at me, "What about her? Has she said anything?"
"No." Jimin glared at me. "I can't identify her."
I kept my eyes locked on the pale man. So far, he was my biggest threat when it came to making an escape. He gave off a big cat vibe, though I couldn't pinpoint what species exactly.
The pale man rolled his eyes and turned to me. "Hey, what are you?"
"She smells like waffles!" a deep voice to my right exclaimed. A boxy smile spread across his face. Domesticated dog hybrid. Probably something sweet and loyal. I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"Thank you, puppy."
"Taehyung." The pale man said in a warning tone, urging his friend to step back from me.
Taehyung didn't listen, instead he buried his nose in my hair, inhaling deeply.
"She's a wolf."
