Tony Stark left a mark in the universe when he died.

It wasn't the same when he left and it wasn't easy to cope with his death and Peter knew that. But somehow, he managed to do just fine. He liked to think Tony would whack him in the head if he kept moping all the time.

Eventually, he moved on. Tony would've wanted him to do so but of course, there's still a lot of times where he would miss his father figure a lot.

Growing up without a father wasn't easy for Morgan. Don't get her wrong though. She loves Rhodey and Happy for being her own father figure and she can't even thank Peter enough for being there for her ever since Tony died.

Everywhere she went, she sees his face. And she deeply misses him.

And she missed the way he would call her Morguna. No one ever did ever since he passed. Not even Pepper.

In Pepper's defense, she felt as if the nickname was a thing between her daughter and her husband and she didn't want to ruin that. She also didn't want to trigger Morgan and make her sad so instead, she would call her Gana.

It wasn't until Morgan's eighteenth birthday party that she heard that special nickname again.

Everyone that was deeply close to her was invited. She made sure that her day wasn't just about her, it was about everyone. The night was filled with good meals, good talks, good music, laughter and lots of dancing.

She only wished Tony would've seen this.

Peter was running late and didn't have time to shave the facial hair that he had going on. It also didn't help that he had a black eye after fighting a bad guy that was terrorizing people in London. It had been a while since he last saw Morgan who he treated as a little sister.

He was thankful he was able to catch up on her special day.

It seemed like yesterday when Peter first saw her. She was about four years old at the time and didn't have any idea what happened to her father. And Peter swore that he would do everything in his power to protect her even if they got into a lot of arguments. And seeing Morgan grow up into a beautiful young lady, Peter liked to think he did a good job.

Putting on a pair of sunglasses, Peter grabbed his gift for Morgan and began to swing his way to the Stark residence. The drive would be too long and swinging from building to building would be a faster route.

When he got there, the party was in full swing and he smiled at the sight of Morgan laughing at whatever Scott was telling her.

Peter decided to be sneaky and crept up behind the girl before whispering "Boo" near her ear causing Morgan to shriek and turn around abruptly to face Peter who began to laugh.

"Oh my God, what're you--" Morgan stopped at the sight of Peter who was dressed in a grey suit pants, a white dress shirt with a matching grey blazer. He also sported a facial hair that almost looked like a goatee with some red tinted sunglasses.

Morgan blinked slowly and gulped as Peter continued to giggle uncontrollably but slowly stopped upon seeing her reaction before gathering his composure and offered her a loving smile as he stretched out his hand to present her a small little box.

"Happy Birthday, Morguna." Morgan gasped and put her hand over her mouth as tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

At this point, almost everyone was looking at them.

"What, you missed me that much, squirt?" Peter chuckled and ruffled Morgan's hair but the girl still stayed in her place and soon enough, the tears fell down onto her cheeks causing Peter to be alarmed.

"Hey, hey, hey. What happened? I'm here now, it's okay." Peter cooed at the girl but Morgan shook her head and soon smiled at him despite her teary eyes.

"You have no idea how happy you make me right now, Pete." Morgan sniffed and tried to wipe her tears but only more fell down her blotchy cheeks.

"Then why are you crying?" Peter asked, completely confused and only then did he notice that everyone's looking at him when he looked up. They all had this some kind of emotion in their eyes and Peter suddenly felt anxious.

"Morguna, what's-- oof!" Peter was taken aback by Morgan suddenly hugging him but he wrapped his arms around her nonetheless.

"Please, please, don't stop calling me that." Morgan whimpered and soon looked up at Peter, "I haven't heard that nickname in years."

Peter was about to ask her a question when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw Pepper looking at him fondly with teary eyes.

"Tony used to call her that. It was a special nickname he made for her." She explained, "And you, coming here looking almost exactly like him probably overwhelmed her. The suit, the facial hair, sunglasses. You really nailed it, Pete. I was almost convinced it was Tony. But then I remembered he'd have to have a shit ton of grey hairs if he was still alive."

Peter froze as the realization sunk in.

He didn't realize how his getup matched with how Tony used to dress since he was in a rush. He also didn't realize how much that nickname meant to Morgan. He just thought of it right off the bat and he didn't have the chance to call her that until now.

Peter reminded Morgan of her father. The thought caused him to wrap his arms tighter around the sobbing girl. He cooed at her and rubbed her back comfortingly.

"Shh, it's okay, Morguna, it's okay." Peter whispered and pressed a kiss on her head, "It's alright, I'm right here. I won't leave you. Not anytime soon."

And somehow, Peter wished-- hoped, rather. That Tony would know that no harm would ever come to his daughter and his family for as long as Peter is alive.
