This will be one of the few if only Point of View Chapters because I wanted it to really hit hard emotionally and have a purpose, unless you guys like it and want more Chapters that are POV then ill do more

The name is Jackson King, I have played football my whole life, my dad has been in the army while I've been growing up and my mom left us right before my 1st birthday so I have to stay with mi ill grandparents since the age of 10 not just because they need help but I also needed a roof over My head. I've been pretty lucky, I was genetically gifted to start out in my life as my dad was in super good shape.

My buddies Sam, Bailey, Troy, and I were never up anything good as I had trouble making friends because I lacked basic social skills because no one ever taught me any, from a young age I was labelled as a troublemaker simply because I didn't know any better, all of my teachers thought that I wasn't going to amount to anything one of the teachers even got so mad that I forgot a big project at home that was due that they told me that I would be stuck working as a Fast Food Janitor for the rest of my life and they would go as far as hitting me with rulers or belts or whatever was handy, and I had no one to talk to so no one knew what I was going through but myself.

After freshman year was filled with me getting called into classrooms during lunch just to have my hearing lessened a bit due to the amount of yelling I would have to take in, and not to mention after the first 2 months of freshman year the physical harm didn't hurt me much physically but the abuse physically and vocally was hurting me mentally. I didn't play any sports in freshman year because I was always told I wasn't good enough or that I would never make any teams even though I loved sports. I wasn't able to play recreational sports around town because with me only getting to have a 5 minute phone call with my dad once a month I never got to ask and my grandparents didn't have the money.

It was the summer going into sophomore year that I started to develop this depression and anxiety that I got diagnosed with by the school nurse, but whenever I talked to them about it they said that it was because I missed my parents, but they never cared to ask about how I was treated at school, nor did they ever ask why my hands are so bruised and/or bloody all the time. Eventually later in the summer I helped my neighbours with chores in and outside of their homes just so that I could afford lunch at school everyday and I could pay to use the school gym for an hour every day.

Once I put my money towards using the school gym that's when I was finally making some progress turning my life around, with me going every day since my dad was super jacked and was naturally healthy and I ate really well I started to be able to increase the weight quick and in 2-3 months I reached 6'3 225lbs and my little group of people that would talk to me (Bailey, Sam, Troy) and they were really impressed at what shape I was in. I kind of had that perfect boy look with the light brown hair that's flowed back but its shorter and taken care of so it looks good, with baby blue eyes that the girls always complimented me on but that's the only thing any girl ever said to me. It wasn't until I benched 225lbs for 9 reps that an older fit man came up to me...

I always worked out right after school because that was the only time I had to workout because I had a bunch of extra homework only I got from the teachers and it was about a 45 minute walk to school and back every day, plus I had jobs working for the neighbours. But working out right after school was when it changed my mood about hating to go to school cause the same events happened to me everyday. An older big muscular man approached me as I was getting a drink, he extended his hand and I shook it, he told me he was the offensive coordinator for the schools football team, a team that has one the district championship 7 out of the past 8 years and won a provincial championship 5 out of the past 8.

He approached me and told me he was impressed with how strong I was and was telling me about how I can bench more than half of the starting players on his offence, I always loved going to watch the football team play the previous years even when I wasn't in high school, football was something my grandpa would always fall asleep to and I would sit there admiring how athletic and cool I thought these guys were. I thanked the coach for his compliment and he asked me if I would like to come out and practice with the team because 2 out of the 3 running backs they had were injured, even though I've never played before I accepted his offer because I felt that even if I do terrible it will be a great learning experience and a lesson for me. So I shook the mans hand again and I said thank you sir, he turned around before walking out the door and said, call me coach Jordan.

A/N so there we go there's a little introductory chapter to this story, this is the shortest chapter that I will have, I didn't want to make this one too long because I started going into the next chapter and didn't realize it, this came up to just shy of 1000 words, my goal is to get each chapter between 2k and 3k words, the first few chapters may be a little less intreresting because it'll be me going through the rest of sophomore, junior, then senior year and talking about a lot of football so hopefully you guys stick around and are patient with me lol, I hope you all enjoyed a little explanation of how Jacksons life has been going so far.
