The Fall Play

It's Monday again. As you were walking down the hallway, you see Gwen running towards you.

"Y/n, you have to see this." she said between breaths.

"What? What is it?" you asked.

"Information for the fall play has just been put up." Gwen explains.

After hearing that, you both ran to the theatre arts classroom to see the play, the sign up sheet, and applications.

The fall play is Game of Tiaras, which is a princess version of Game of Thrones. When you saw that, it reminded you of Thomas, Nathalie. and Aidan because they were in Game of Thrones. After getting the application, you texted Thomas and Nathalie about it. You had small conversations with them through text before it was time to go to Government.

During lunch, you texted the rest of the cast about the fall play, but they didn't respond. You assumed it was the time difference, busy with acting related stuff, or interviews.

Algebra II finally ended and it was time to go home. You got home, and started on homework and studying. After that was out of the way, you started to fill out the audition application for the fall play. You did some research on the show and started looking for a monologue to audition with.

After finding a monologue and just as you were about to practice, your phone blew up with texts. It was the cast. They all wished you good luck with the audition and gave any advice they had to offer. They also apologized for not responding earlier because they had other things going on.

You got caught up with all of them. Kat is back with the Shadow Hunters. Nathalie is back with Game of Thrones. Rosa is doing some modeling jobs. Kaya, Thomas, and Will went back to London to be with family. Dylan, Ki Hong, and Dexter are in California, looking for new acting jobs to do before the Death Cure. You told them all about the first week of senior year.

You couldn't wait to see them again in October for the Scorch Trials premiere. Good thing it's on the weekend of Columbus Day, where you have that Monday off. Only a little bit over a month left.

'It'll be here before we know it.' you thought.

The auditions are Friday after school, so you have four days to prepare. Your theatre goal for this year is to get casted in every show this year. For the past three years, you've only been in one production, not all three. But this year, that's gonna change. Hopefully.

[Four days later]

It's now Friday, which is the day of the auditions. It was hard to focus in class because that was all you could think about. Your family and the cast texted you, wishing you good luck. After Algebra II ended, you went to the public library near your school to do some homework. It was around 3:30pm, so you drove back to school. You found Gwen and you two had a conversation to encourage one another before the audition.

One of the stage managers came out and got everyone's attention. She asked for everyone's application and to line up in the order of the sign up sheet. You took a deep breath as everyone walked into the theatre arts classroom.

Gwen's audition was really good. Her monologue was perfect for the role of Belle, which is the character she wants. After Caitlyn went, it was your turn. You introduced yourself and performed your monologue.

Here goes nothing.
