Nora's POV- August 2019

Cody somehow managed to convince Chris to head to Dodger Stadium with him. While the team practiced, he could work out or just chill. I'm pretty sure he only agreed to go because he wanted to get back to a routine. I would meet them there later, and to 'make it up to me', Chris suggested I bring Danni with me. She was one of the few people that knew about the engagement, and the wedding. Unfortunately, she was unable to make it to the courthouse since she had a work-related matter to deal with.

"Please be nice," I told her.

She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"I'll be nice with the ones who have been nice to you"

Once we were in our seats, I ordered some food for both of us.

"Drink a margarita for me," I said.

She smiled.

"I'll do that difficult task for you"

I laughed and let her take a hold of my hand.

"When he mentioned he was going to propose, I was worried that the ring would be to over the top but he nailed it"

He honestly did.

"It just sucks he wasn't able to ask the way he wanted to"

We both looked away as someone called out my name.

"Hey" I greeted a smiley Mady.

Corey Seager's girlfriend grinned as she approached me.

"What a pleasant surprise"

I gladly stood up and accepted her hug.

"I am so sorry I have not visited, work has been all over the place"

She smiled and leaned down to hug Danni.

"We're both busy people," I said once she turned back to me.

"How's Chris doing now that his family is back home?"

"He's a bit bummed out, but focused on his rehab" I replied.

She smiled and took hold of my hands.

"I bumped into him when I got here, and he looks so much better. "

He honestly did.

"You're not one to wear rings"

I bit the inside of my cheek as she looked at my left hand and gasped.

"Oh my god!"

She grinned.

"Congratulations!"

"Thank you" I said.

"We have lots to catch up"

We did.

"Lunch on Monday? I'll try to get some work done so I can leave the house for a bit"

"Okay," I agreed.

"I'm so happy for you two!"

She looked back down at my hand.

"But you're not supposed to be wearing both bands"

"Well," I noted.

Her eyes darted from the ring to my face.

"Shut up.

"It was super sudden, but we'll have a big wedding either at the end of this year or next" I answered.

"I'm so happy for you two! Congratulations"

"Thank you" I accepted.

"We have to celebrate!"
