At the office

" we can't hold him without evidence, this case won't stick " Detective Jessica said sitting at her desk looking over the files. " All we have is a witness statement from someone named Michelle Reeves who won't even answer the phone "

" So ... we get him to confess " Detective Johnathan replied

" We gotta' let him go, just until we find some type of evidence that he was actually the one that committed the crime " Jessica replied

" I know he did, who else would want to hurt Faith Johnson ? " Ashley asked. " did you check Faith's files? earlier in the year she was arrested for disturbing the peace and assualt, her and two other females jumped the mother of Kasuan's child at a club while she was pregnant.. the mother eventually dropped the charges but what if Kasuan went over her house days before to talk and things went bad? So.. Christmas night, he killed her "

" Yeah we can say that but we have no evidence " Jessica said " we have no proof that he was there the night she was killed, no finger prints, no signs of forced entry-

" Because she knew her killer, it was Kasuan " Ashley said cutting her off

" We have no evidence Ashley, this case wont stick we have to let him go " Jessica said standing up " I know this is hard for you because she was your cousin .. I don't know what type of problem you have with Kasuan but don't let that get in the way of your fair judgment, wrong is wrong and right is right.. we have to let him go " she said before leaving out

" We have to find evidence, I know he did this " Ashley said to Johnathan

Later on.

Kasuan's lawyer Tommy took the first flight out to Atlanta from Ohio and was there by morning. He quickly made his way to the police station and got Kasuan. They drove back to his house and Tommy had a million questions
 
" Now be honest with me Kasuan, did you kill Faith ? " Tommy asked, they were close because Kasuan was helped Tommy with his sick mom when he needed him and other problem's Tommy had.

" No I didn't kill that girl Tommy " Kasuan said while rubbing his temple. " Somebody's trying to set me up ... and I think it's Ashley "

" Why would Federal prosecutor Ashley Johnson be trying to set YOU up ? "

" Because I used to fuck her " Kasuan chuckled, Tommy gave him a look before looking back at the road

" YOU used to fuck Ashley Johnson ? " Tommy asked. He couldn't believe it, he knew all about Kasuan and knew he couldn't stay away from the ladies but Faith's cousin though ?

" The feds were on my back before earlier in the year but I paid her to get them off me, Faith gets killed and all of sudden their right back on my back "

" Wait .. you mean to tell me you paid a federal prosecutor to get the feds off your back. Do you know what this means ? "

" What ? " Kasuan asked with a confused look on his face

" If you go down, we're bringing her down with you " Tommy replied, Kasuan chuckled ".. luckily they have no real evidence so they can't REALLY pin this crime on you, for the time being while I get everything under control please try to stay out of trouble, lay low for a minute.. cause trust me, they're watching "

" Alright " Kasuan said. He had so much on his mind, it felt like his head was spinning. All he needed to do now was talk to Laurence.

" And why didn't you tell me you had a kid " Tommy asked sounding offended " I feel like I have the right to know "

Kasuan smiled to himself thinking of his son, he was his reason for living, his happiness and joy " It slipped my mind, My bad " he said

They pulled up to his house and tommy stopped his car in front of the drive way, " Aye man you moving ? " he asked noticing a big moving truck in the drive way

" What the fuck " Kasuan mouthed before quickly getting out the car. " Aye yo' what the fuck is this " he yelled angrily walking up to a man moving boxes into the truck, he grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him close " The fuck you doing in my house ? "

" Aye man I'm just doing my job " the guy said raising his hands up

" Kasuan leave him alone " Adryian said coming though the garage, Kasuan looked at her and let the man go before walking up to her. " Sorry about that Darnell go ahead and get the rest of my stuff " she said, he nodded his head and walked back in the house

Kasuan realized what was going on. " So you leaving me ? " he asked

" Isn't it obvious " She replied, Kasuan walked up to her and got in her face with his fist balled up. " Hit me, that'll just be another charge added. "

" After all I've done for you " he said " this how you do me ? "

" What have you done for me Kasuan besides make my life a living hell, you can have the money.. I just want my peace. I never asked you to do anything for me "

" Where is my son ? "

" He's safe... he's not here but just know he's safe " she replied crossing her arms over her chest

" So you gone take my son away from me ? " Kasuan asked, he couldn't believe her right now. After everything, he thought

" I told you I'll never stop you from being in his life-

" How you just gone give up on us like this Adryian " He said cutting her off. " You really just gone end shit like it was nothing "

" You ended shit when you fucked Kenisha and thought I wasn't gone find out " Adryian said getting angry herself. She then charged at him and began hitting him in the face and body " And on top of that you gave me an STD, you fucked her raw Kasuan really " she said, tears now streaming down her face.

Tommy quickly got out of his car when he noticed them fighting and grabbed Adryian since she was the one actually hitting him while Kasuan only tried to get her to stop and shielded himself. He pulled her away.

" If you leave now, ain't no coming back " Kasuan said

" Fuck you Kasuan " Adryian yelled as tommy held her back and moved her away. She was done with him and it was no coming back.

She had enough money saved to get herself an apartment and nobody knew where so she was good. This was exactly what she needed, to get away from all toxic energy
