Chapter 6| my parents travelled for work
A year after my sister was born mom and dad had to travel for work, it was a big responsibility for me to take care of my younger sister Dila also Noah always used to be with his friends all the time and did not help me at all, I decided to face Noah and tell him that I need his help
"I want to tell you something" I said
"What?" He asked
"You are always with your friends and I am taking care of Dila alone, just help me until dad and mom come back"
"You are always blaming me on my mistakes, why can't you take care of Dila alone?"
"What! I am always blaming you!! This is the first time for me to tell you something real about yourself, and wait I am not blaming you, I am telling you the truth I really need your help but you spend your time with your friends"
"Do you think my friends are not important to me?"
"Really! They are more important than your sisters?"
"When I be free to help you I will, goodbye now"
And the conversation between me and Noah ended, it was the worst day ever for me to hear these words from my brother whom I always wanted a help from and he did not refuse! He really made me upset and shocked, so I decided to tell my mom about this problem, I know that she must be busy but I was literally tired
"Hello mom! Are you busy now?"
"No dear, is everything alright?"
"No, I want to tell you something"
"What???"
"I am really tired and I can't take care of Dila alone, Noah is not helpful at all and when I requested from him a help he said 'when I be free I will help you' and he is spending all his own life with his friends"
"You are making me shocked! How come, he always helps you"
"I am shocked too! Please mom come back I can't bear all this and I am too young to take care of a baby"
"I wish I can Camila, but they need us to work with them"
"Mom! Are you kidding! I really need you both!"
"Sorry Camila I have to end the call now, will call you soon"
Mom's words made me as shocked as Noah's words! I didn't know what to do. One day Dila became very sick and her temperature exceeded 40° degrees, I called the doctor and he said that she must go to the hospital so I went with her.
"My sister is very ill, her temperature became more than forty degrees" I said
"How old is she?" The doctor asked
"1 year old" I answered
"Please wait here" He said
"Okay doctor" I replied
I called mom but she did not answer so I called dad
"Dad, Dila is very ill, I went with her to the hospital"
"Oh my God! Is Noah with you?"
"No, he is always with his friends"
"Call him now, you mustn't be alone at this bad situation"
"I will dad, won't you come back?"
"I hope darling, don't worry you are brave enough to face these problems"
"Thanks dad, goodbye"
The call ended, I called Noah many times but he did not answer 'as usual'
"Your sister is fine, but she caught cold, you should be careful with her, where are your parents? they should take care of her" Said the doctor
"They will come back soon, thank you doctor, can we go home?" I said
"Sure" He replied
I took Dila home and bought some medicines to her, then mom called
"Camila, what's going with Dila?"
"Nothing"
"Nothing! But Louis told me that Dila is very ill"
"She's fine"
"Why are you talking this way?"
"What! You are asking me why I am talking in this way! Mmm perhaps I am very happy and living a great life without any help!"
"Camila please understand us, we want to come back but..."
"But they need you for work, right? Great! Just focus on your work and your own life and if worried about me or Dila don't worry, we are literally living a perfect life!" I was crying and screaming
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry I will do anything to come now, don't be sad Camila, I love you and I know that me and your dad are wrong to leave you alone" Mom cried too
"Really! I love you too and I'm really sorry for my silly words" I apologized
"No dear, you don't have to apologize, we are wrong and we gonna solve this problem"
I became glad after hearing those words from mom!! I know that my words might made mom sad but I told her my feelings, I really wanted a help from anyone but no one did, Noah is not helpful at all, mom and dad are working I did not have anyone else could help me! Dila became better and her temperature became normal thanks goddess for that! Then dad called me
"Hey Camila, we are coming back the next week, we can't come back earlier"
"Why! I'm gonna wait for a week! Who will help me if Dila became sick again?"
"You can call any of your friends to stay with you"
"You are right! I will call my friend Jade, can't wait to see you both dad!"
"We too! Take care of yourself, we won't leave you again"
"Promise me dad"
"I promise you!"
I called Jade to stay with me this week until my parents come back
"Hey Jade, are you free this week?"
"Yes Camila, why?"
"Because my sister Dila became sick and I need someone to be with me"
"Sure I will help you! But where is Noah?"
"Noah makes me feel like I don't have a brother!"
"Hahaha, why are you saying that"
"I'm telling you the truth, he's not helping me"
"I will prepare myself and I will come, we will take about Noah then"
"Okay I'm waiting for you, thanks a lot Jade!"
"No problem!"
