sweating off the nerves letting them travel down to my fingertips, I breathe out heavily grabbing the door handle to something I haven't seen in years, a building that I've never had to guts to walk up to all my life. and here I'm back.

where i had to talk about the two most loveliest beautiful humans in my life, all the men and women in this room different ranges of beautiful skin tones, out here saving lives everyday even though fear eats them like a leech. they still want to save people like me, they did save me, my parents couldn't have been saved sadly.

clutching my tiny bag on my back and tugging on the pockets of my coat I walk up to the desk and smile " afternoon ma'am, how are you?"

"beautiful my darling, how are you?" she asks

"could be better with a coffee" i joke "i came here for my interview with detective williams" i pull out my wallet knowing i may have to show ID and verification, she fishes in her laptop checking for the time slot then shakes her head i had her my id and she confirms its me handing it back to me she also slides me a cup of coffee
