Erin Reagan sighed as she smoothed her hands over the curves of her black dress. She was excited and nervous- it was her first day of her new job. She had graduated law school with flying colors. Now she stood in front of her full length mirror in her old bedroom. She chewed her lip, memories of her childhood coming to mind as she stood in her parents' house.
Her Mom, Mary, always liked to through parties. So when the tall brunette told everyone she'd be starting Monday, Mary had invited everyone over before work to wish her only daughter luck.
"Oh my gosh, Erin! You look great! I especially love your hair!" Linda O'Shea, Danny Reagan's girlfriend gushed as she entered the room.
"Really? I wasn't sure about the hair... what about my makeup? And my outfit?"
"Relax, Erin. You look like a knockout!"
Erin smiled a little bit more. She knew Linda wouldn't lie about appearances. The tall brunette wore a black, somewhat form fitting dress with Christian Lounoutin shoes- which were her favorites. Her lips were a nude pink, her eye makeup just enough to bring out her brown eyes. "I think I'm ready..." she picked up a matching black briefcase. "Let's go." They walked down the stairs together, ending up in the kitchen where the family was gathered.
"Wow!" Mary smiled widely.
"You look great, sweetie!" Frank Reagan smiled.
"You're pretty, Erin!" Little Jamie piped up, eating a breakfast pastry.
Joe Reagan wolf whistled, causing his sister to chuckle.
"You're gonna knock 'em out with that outfit, sis," Danny stated, drinking a sip of his coffee.
"See?" Linda smiled, "what did I tell you?" The alarm on her watch beeped. "Oh, I gotta get to school! Good luck, Erin! Danny, will you drive me?"
"Yup." He put his mug in the sink. Kissing his sister on the cheek, he said, "knock 'em dead, sis."
"We should get going, too, Jamie." Joe stated, "good luck, Erin."
"Bye, Erin," Jamie finished his breakfast. "You'll do great, I know it!"
Erin smiled at her parents. "Well... here goes nothing." She shrugged and hugged them. "Thanks for everything." She kissed her mom's cheek, then her Dad's. "Bye!"
