I think, I thought, I did

I had a good day today—I think.
So why did I cry enough to fill a kitchen sink?
I felt so alive—my arms waving in the wind, care free.
So why did I think about wrecking on Highway 280?
I laughed, and smiled, and much much more.
So why did I think of ending this war?
I had a good day today—at least I thought so.
So why am I about to be someone you used to know?
