Have You

Have you ever been tired of always letting people down?
You want something tragic to happen—maybe drowned?
You have already been a burden to those you care about.
You never do anything right, that is why they always shout.
So you leave...
You go for a walk down the sidewalk in town.
It is dark and quiet with no one around.
You feel like the dark will always surround you
Because if there was a color you felt, it would blue.
Have you ever felt only emptiness inside
To the point where you beg this sadness to hide?
It is here to stay,
It blocks your airway.
It wants to push you as far as you will go
Before you use a gun to blow
A hole through your head.
