Chapter 31 ♔

Once I entered the living room, I saw Daniel in his usual work outfit, struggling to put his tie on.

I looked at him, "Need some help?"

He nodded and I smiled as I walked over to him. He looked down at my outfit, "Are you going somewhere?"

I nodded as I started fixing his tie, "Yep! It's Jihoon's birthday today so Wanna One and I are gonna throw a surprise party for him. Uhm...do you wanna come?" I looked up at him nervously.

He shook his head, "I can't jagi, I have work...you have fun though. Tell him I said happy birthday."

I sighed and nodded.

After I finished fixing his tie, he gave me a smile of gratitude and leaned down to kiss my cheek, "Thanks jagi. If you need a ride there, you can get driver Saewoon to drop you off. I'll tell him to prepare the limo."

I smiled, "Alright thanks Daniel! See you later!" I said and we parted ways.

Once I went outside, I was immediately greeted with the sight of our family limo. I walked towards it and got into the backseat.

Saewoon-sshi greeted me through the rearview mirror, "Good morning Y/N-sshi. Where can I take you today?"

"Good morning! Can you drop me off over to this place?" I asked as I showed him the address on my phone.

He nodded and we took off.

Around 20 minutes later, we finally reached our destination. I stepped out of the car and thanked the driver.

He nodded, "No problem Y/N-sshi. Call me when you're ready to go home. Have fun." he said and drove away.

I watched his car drive off into the distance and stepped inside the "Zero Base" building.

As soon as I entered, I got tackled into a bone-crushing hug, "OMGGGG HIII NOONA!!! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE!!" the person exclaimed as they squeezed me tight.

I laughed and craned my neck to see the person's face, "Hahaha hey Daehwi. I missed you too!" I hugged him back.

He pulled away and grabbed my hand, "C'mon we're about to make Jihoon's birthday cake! Join us!" he exclaimed and pulled me towards a table where all the Wanna One members were gathered.

The members turned their heads towards us and their eyes lit up. "Hey Y/N! Glad you could make it," Woojin said.

"Y/N! Did you take off your shoes?" Minhyun scolded and I laughed before removing my shoes.

"You didn't bring Daniel with you?" Seongwoo asked.

I shook my head, "No sorry. He had work today so he couldn't."

Jisung swatted his hand in dismissal, "That's fine Y/N. We're glad you're here."

"Yeah! I'm sure that pig baby Jihoon would much rather see you than Daniel haha!" Sungwoon remarked, making everyone laugh.

I laughed along until I met eyes with Jinyoung. We stared at each other for a few seconds before he broke eye contact and looked away.

Hmm. Still strange as ever.

Minhyun clapped his hands, "That's enough playing around kids! Now come and help me make this cake!"

The members nodded and walked towards the cake.

Minhyun's eyes widened as he blocked them from touching the cake, "Wait what are you guys doing?! No one gave you permission to get near my cake!" he yelled defensively and wrapped his arms around the cake.
