A/N: This story is loosely based off a dream my friend had. Enjoy ;)
Y/N's POV
I walked down the crowded street to meet my friend Millie at the coffee shop that was a few blocks away from my work.
I approached the building seeing Millie tightly wrapped with a coat in the chilly winter winds. She looked at the tall buildings that stood around the small coffee shop, making it look out of place. Her gaze landed on me and she gave me a big wave and smile. I returned the smile as I leaned in for a hug.
"How have you been!" she squeals as we enter the coffee shop.
"I've been really good actually, I just published a new book!" I replied, matching her enthusiastic tone.
"That's so exciting but I can't believe you still enjoy reading books," she said disgustedly, followed with a small giggle.
"Whatever," I laugh out.
"Anyways, let's order," She says.
We order our drinks and head over to a little booth, by a window, at the back of the coffee shop.
"So, how was travelling?" I ask.
Millie had travelled to a few places around the world for a year.
"It was fantastic! I met a few really kind people and guess what I brought back for you!" she answered with excitement.
She pulled out a copy of my favourite book, After by Anna Todd. I stared at her confused.
"I already have a copy," I said confused.
"No silly. Look inside," she giggled.
I opened the cover and saw the signatures of Anna Todd, Josephine Langford and my all-time celebrity crush, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin.
"No way. You did not!" I spoke loudly, not caring at the stares we were getting from people who were near our booth.
Millie looked at me with a huge smile while nodding her head rapidly.
"Thank you so much!" I jumped up and gave her a hug.
"That's what friends are for."
"Here you go ladies, one iced coffee frappe and one vanilla iced coffee with regular milk," a young guy, who appeared to be the same age as Millie and I, politely gave us our drinks.
"Thank you," Millie and I replied in unison.
The guy gave me a small wink and walked off. My cheeks immediately turned red.
"ooh, he's just a bit cute don't you think?" Millie teased.
"Oh, shut it, Mill," I giggled.
While we drank our coffees, we talked about our families and caught up on each other's lives.
A sudden knock on the window made me jump and Millie simply let out a laugh before turning her head towards the window. I copied Millie's actions and the sight I saw instantly made me freak out.
"Omg, that's Hero!" I squealed.
"Y/N, shhh. I'm trying to hear him," she said, pointing to Hero's friend.
Hero's friend was standing at the window asking Millie where the door was but Hero looked nervous while looking at Millie.
I couldn't help but feel a little jealous at how much Hero kept staring at her.
Hero's POV
My friend Tom saw Millie through the window instantly.
"Hey dude, she's here," he said, pointing towards her and this beautiful unknown girl sitting with her.
Tom walked up to the window and gave it a small knock. The unknown girl jumped a little and I thought it was adorable.
While Tom was asking Millie, through the glass, where the door was; the girl I have yet to know seems to be looking towards my way. Nervously I avert my attention to Millie as she points out the way to the door.
"Ok, let's go bud," Tom says and snaps me out of my nervous gaze.
"Millie's friend seems really lovely, she noticed you by the way," he says with a tiny smirk.
"Oh, shut up," I reply.
We walk into the coffee shop and I instantly make eye contact with Millie's friend.
