Travel Through Time Chapter 29

  "Where is the Royal Prince?" I ask "he is searching the home" "take me there if my brother and Keon-hi want to go to the house we are renting send guards with them" I state.  We get to the ministers home and I walk through the gate and stand in the courtyard looking at the buildings before walking to the main residence.   I look through the rooms until I find the study, I walk around looking at the books on the floor from the search I walk around the walls looking at the floor.  I see some marks on the floor at the far end of the room I pick up a candle and move it around the bookshelf there.  When I wave it over the inner side of the book shelf the flame dances.  "What have you found?" the Prince asks.  I point to the marks on the floor and then wave the candle for him to see the dancing flames.  He tries to push the book shelf, "I think we need to find what opens it" I say.  The Prince moves to the table and feels around it.  He opens the draw and feels inside and I hear a click.   I turn and see the hidden door open, once the Prince has pushed it open.  We go inside the hidden room not only are there books, but piles of gold.  I open up one of the books and find it's an account book, not of his house but the palace storage warehouses.  I pick up another and it's an account book of all the things that he has taken from the storage warehouses. "This idiot thinks he has the right to take whatever he wants, this is a list of all he's stole from the palace.  What makes them record everything?" I ask. The Prince takes a look and whistles, we look through the other books there, he has a book on every member of court as well as one on the King, and the rest of the royal family.  "Guard" yells the Prince a guard comes into the room and the Prince gives him four books "have someone take this right to the King, he has to give it to the King only.  Tell him to use the side gate and the royal guard badge once he's in there.  Pack up everything else here carefully in trunks and move them to the rental house.  Have someone guard it at all times" he orders "yes your Majesty." "Come on it's time for some dinner you can have a relaxing bath and then bed" he tells me "yes your Majesty" I reply and he smacks my butt.  Jin-hyeok and Keon-hi are waiting for us in the courtyard.  "I have the water heating in the tub, we are lucky to have a big one but it will take a little time to heat the water" Keon-hi says. "Thank you" they lead us to the main room where food has been prepared, we sit and eat I talk little as I'm tired and still a little upset at the number of people needing to be treated. "I learnt a lot from watching you treat the wounded today" Jin-hyeok says "I'm glad" is all I can muster.   Having had a little something to eat, I stand "please excuse me, I'm going to have a bath and then sleep" I bow and leave the room.  I find our room and start to take my clothes off.  I find a robe and slip it on. "Ri-na" I call "yes your Majesty" "can you show me where the bath is please" she bows and takes me down a hall to a door near its end. "Thank you, you may leave" once she has closed the door.   I feel the water and climb in after slipping my gown off.  I put the knife I've bought on the side of the tub.  I sink lower into the tub and close my eyes.  This day has been a long one and I'm saddened by the treatment of the people.  I feel the hairs on the left side of my neck rise, I keep my eyes closed and reach out with my hand, grab my knife and throw it.  I hear someone cry out and then a thud "sorry your Majesty" Un says just as the Prince runs into the room.  He looks around and sees the hole in the paper covering a window, he opens the door next to it and looks out.   He closes the door and hangs a piece of cloth over the hole before starting to strip his clothes off.   My mood brightens as he strips in front of me.  He climbs in and sits next to me, "feeling better" I nod "my beautiful husband just stripped for me" I answer he laughs and then moves me away from the tub wall "let me scrub your back" he bends and kisses the arrow scar and then washes my back.  I help him wash his back we soak for a little while longer, "why did you have to throw your knife?" he asks. "Someone was peeping at me" "what?" he shouts"Un?, Un?" he yells. "Hey still naked here" I say "don't come in" he yells.  I laugh "I got them with my knife" he isn't really listening though as he stands me up wrapping me in a cloth then wrapping my robe around me, he wraps a cloth around his waist before throwing his over coat on and then picking me up and walking to our room.  "Stay here" he says placing me next to the bed.  I raise an eyebrow that he doesn't see as he strides to the door "who was he?" he barks "one of the servants that came with the house, he is now being dragged to a cell.  Here is the Princess' knife, she got him in the chest and inch lower and it would have been his heart" Un explains. "Have one of his eyes plucked out" he demands "my Prince" is all I say as he swings around and glares at me.   I hold up my hands and glance at Un really quickly, he has the same baffled look I'm sure I have.   The Prince shuts the door in Un's face and walks back to me, "he was spying at the Royal Princess why you were bathing" he says "would you like me to check all windows and exists before getting in the tub next time?" I ask he takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, "why are you so upset?" I ask "firstly no-one but I can see you naked.  Secondly, I didn't like what that beast said to you at the building site and lastly you look fragile as though a stiff breeze could knock you over.  I don't like it.  I like the strong looking you, the mess with me and I'll kick you up side your head! You!" he finishes pushing me down on the bed and drying me.  He combs my hair and then wraps it in a dry cloth.  "Drink your medicine have your honey water and get into bed" he orders "yes your Majesty" I get a slap on my butt when I turn to get into bed.  I smile at him as he drops his gown and climbs into bed with me, "naked just as you like it?" I say he kisses me "very much" he growls I chuckle and yawn.   The Prince kisses me again and then snuggles down into my breasts.   I fall asleep before he pulls me closer to him.  I'm standing in a field fall of wild flowers, letting the sun warm me, my stomach is round and large.  I feel the life inside me kick and rub my hand over the spot.  I then see a beautiful little boy walk towards me "Mummy look I caught a thog" I smile down at him "a frog" I correct and bend down to see the small frog held in his hand.  "Ith we kiss it? A Princess will appear" he tells me "If" I correct him "and how do you know it won't turn in to a Prince?" I ask.  He laughs at that "because boys kiss girls" he informs me. Not all the time, I think but smile at him "oh, that's right, but I think this frog might need to grow a little bigger.  If we try and kiss it, it might think we are trying to eat it" I explain he laughs again patting the frog and letting it go.  "Mommy, I can't wait to meet you" he says as he fade's.  I try and grab him but he's gone.  I wake up to the Prince rubbing my back "just a dream love, just a dream" he soothes.  I wipe my tears away, "I was speaking to a beautiful little boy and he called me Mummy and we where in a meadow with my stomach round with child, then as he faded, he said he couldn't wait to meet me" more tears spring up.   The Prince sits up "what? Really?" he says excitedly, I look at him a little shocked.  "That is a maternity dream, U" I cover his mouth as he goes to call Un and shake my head.  "Not now, not here let's wait until we get back to the palace" I whisper.  He thinks for a minute then nods his head.  He looks at me, kisses me and then rubs my flat stomach, "don't get your hopes up we don't know for sure and I would hate to disappoint you" I say.  He takes my hand and kisses it "not a chance" he kisses me "would you like some water?" I nod and he reaches for the water.   Once I've drank some, he puts it back and I lay down again.  He pulls me to him and snuggles in I'm asleep again quickly.  I wake to the sun pouring into the room the sun having risen a while ago.  I stretch out the kinks and sit up.  I wash then dress and open the connecting door but the Prince isn't there either so I go to the main room and find everyone there.  "Morning" I greet them "Morning" they reply the Prince, Un and Jin-hyeok all have their heads in books while Keon-hi practices writing.   I pour a cup of tea and Ri-na brings a tray with some breakfast for me.   I eat the rice porridge and fruit "are those the books found at the house?" I ask three heads nod at me.  I look at Keon-hi who smiles and shakes her head.  I pick up a book and start to read it, this is about the illegal gambling house here in town the amount of money it makes is staggering.  I make notes and once I'm finished with that.  I pick up another one.  All about the news gathered from the brothel as well as amounts written, I read a bit more until a realise the amounts are the figure's he's bribed people for.  I make more notes with names, dates and amounts on.  I stretch once I'm finished and put the book down, "I'm going to stretch my legs" I say "I'll come with you" the Prince answers as he stands.  We walk out to the garden "how are you feeling?" he asks. "I feel good I slept really well" I tell him we stroll round the garden hand in hand.  "I've made notes on the books I've read.  I never realised that so much money could be made from gambling" I say.  "I was reading the books on how much tax he took off people" the Prince says.  "I can't believe that this man holds a high minister position" I comment.  "I also read about the dirt he had gathered from the men who went to the brothel and how much he extorted from them to keep his mouth shut" we head back inside. "Can I have the list of people from the brothel?" the Prince asks I give it to him. "Un you're with me, I'll be back later.  Please stay here and read some more of the books and rest when you feel tired" he kisses me and leaves.   I get comfortable and read some more books making notes.  We stop for lunch and Jin-hyeok and Keon-hi go for a walk in the garden, I yawn and head back to our bedroom to have a nap.   I sleep deeply and wake feeling better, I read another book and at first think it is a list of women from different towns until I see the house hold accounts and realise it is of the women he is keeping.   "He needs his chopped up and minced" I say out loud. "Who does?" Jin-hyeok asks, there is a knock on the door and Ri-na opens the door "a letter for you" she turns slightly and I see a towns guard waiting.
