I am like a sunflower
I bloom when the sun is shining
I thrive off of kindness,
and I remain beautiful even when I am broken.
I am like a sunflower
I crave those warmer summer days
I stand tall,
and watch over those around me
I bring happiness.
It's all I need.
you pick my leaves
expect them to grow back
I am not that strong
you glue them back
like you can fix what is broke
but that is not your job
you're like a sunflower
watching over me
gravitate towards the sun,
you don't need anyone,
you've proven that to me
but I will keep watching the sun,
waiting for the right day to come.
watch as I chase,
what I am meant to become.
