By random fact, I mean a fact about me. I'm gonna call this number one because I might do more.
So, I have a very weird accent. I don't know where it comes from. I mean, it's never the same.
Sometimes it's American. That makes sense, I'm an American and so's my mom. Other times, it's African. This usually happens when I get really excited or am talking quickly for some reason. This also makes sense because I spent 15 years of my life in Kenya.
However, often my accent is kinda British. I get teased for this a lot. My family/friends are always mimicking me. The thing is, I don't do it on purpose. I'm not sure where it came from though. I only know a few people with a British accent. One is my former violin teacher but I haven't seen him in years. The other is my former English teacher (she's actually Ugandan) but I don't actually see her that much, though she is one of my friends. Anyway, I suspect that it mostly comes from the things I watch. I've kinda got a thing for British movies/TV shows.
Anyway, I have this habit that I find kinda annoying. I tend to imitate the accent of whoever I'm talking too. Like when I'm talking to my grandparents (from Romania), my accent becomes slightly European. Or when I'm talking to the people who helped in our house (Kenyans), my accent becomes different. I don't know if it's African but it's different.
My accent also changes slightly after I've watched something with a character who has a distinct accent. For a little while, I'll sound kinda like the character. At least to me. I hope other people don't notice. There was one character a while ago that I was really imitating but I can't remember what it was now. However, I've been watching Doctor Who recently and I think I was imitating the tenth doctor's accent while I was watching his episodes. Today I was watching an episode from Season 11 and when I said something later I realized that I was imitating Thirteen's accent. I don't do it deliberately, it just happens.
My accent while I was visiting England though. . . . My brother wouldn't leave me alone about it.

I also mimic facial expressions. After I watch a movie, I'll realize that I'm subconsciously trying to make the same expressions as a character.
It's kinda annoying actually.
