Chapter 30 ♔

I took the pads out of the bag and went into the bathroom to get changed. Once I came out, Jihoon came into the room at the same time.

I noticed that he was holding a bowl of warm soup. He smiled as soon as he saw me, "Hey noona! Glad you're finally awake! You had me so worried when you suddenly fainted like that! Are you feeling better now?"

I nodded and smiled, "A lot better. Thank you Jihoon."

He smiled back, "Good. But why are you standing? Get back in bed right now young lady! Don't make me remind you that you're still sick!"

I laughed at his cuteness, "Haha okay, calm down Jihoon," I said and got back into bed.

He hummed in approval and took a seat on the chair beside my bed. "Here, I made you some detox vegetable soup. I heard this is one of the best remedies for sickness. Not to mention I, the great Jihoon, prepared it for you. So you better like it!" he cheered and proceeded to feed me.

I looked at him awkwardly as he held the spoon up to my mouth, "Uhm it's okay Jihoon...I can eat on my own. I'm not that sick haha."

He pouted and placed the spoon down, "I know...but since I came all this way here, I thought I might as well take care of you. That's why you called me, right? You couldn't take care of yourself and needed me to help you feel better~"

I looked at my bedsheet, "Yeah I guess..."

He sighed and placed his fingers on my chin, tilting my head up towards him, "What's wrong Y/N? You're acting so different from the last time I saw you...are you okay?"

I blinked in confusion. He thinks I'm acting different? How am I being different?

"Of course I'm okay...especially now that you're here~" I joked.

He laughed, "Oh okay...I was just concerned since you've been acting kinda awkward ever since I got here. But that's probably cuz you're sick haha."

I smiled, "Yeah that's probably it."

He cleared his throat, "So how is everything? Has Daniel hyung been treating you well?"

I stayed silent for a few seconds before answering, "Of course haha. He's treating me great as always!"

"Then why isn't he here right now? Shouldn't he be taking care of you instead of me?" 

My eyes widened at his hard-hitting question. He does have a point..

"Uhm...Daniel had work today so he couldn't come home. It would probably be too selfish of me to expect him to ditch his work anyway," I answered.

He tilted his head in confusion, "Hmm...I had a lot of work too today. But as soon as I got your call, I called in sick and ditched work right away. I wanted to see you so bad so this was the perfect excuse to come~" he grinned.

I blushed at his words. Did he really wanna see me that bad? He even ditched work just to take care of me in this pathetic state..

I chuckled, "Is that so? Well then, I am honoured. But Jihoon...aren't you worried about falling sick too? Being around me might be contagious.."

He shook his head, "Nah. I don't really care. As long as I make you feel better, I don't mind getting sick too! Now stop talking and let me feed you! The soup is getting cold. Say ahhh!" he held the spoon in front of my lips once again.

I sighed in defeat and opened my mouth to let him feed me. He smiled in satisfaction and continued to feed me until all the soup was done.

Not gonna lie, I actually kinda enjoyed being pampered like this..
